I would abort the woman for giving birth to a defective child. Obviously wasn't my genes.

Edit:  On a serious note, I would not.  I could not live with myself knowing I stopped another from living because of my own selfish interets.

Thank you! There is a serious lack of decency and character in this thread.  It's very disheartening.

What's disheartening is you making these kind of unwarranted insults. Believe what you want, but don't attack others for not agreeing with you.

Casually disregarding and throwing away life warrants an insult or two, though I'm not sure questioning character or decency qualifies as an insult based on some of the abhorrent comments I've seen made in this thread.

But aren't you casually throwing away the lives that could have been saved with cloned embryo stemcell research?

Yeah, but the problem is, the life you say is being thrown away has already been born.

That's not a problem, that's my point. The life that you are throwing away is real. Those people had conciousness and feelings, they were real and irreplacable.

Early stage fetuses have no brain activity, no thought, no feelings.

The same way that you get offended by abortions. I get offended by the lives lost due to people not being able to distinguish non-concious from concious life.

Bingo. The only remaining question is where "humanity" emerges.

You can't make it personal, though. Breaks the bounds of forum rules.

I'm not going to moderate it, but you can't be attacking folks, indirectly or no.

Very well.

what a joke. People can talk about using close hangers, murdering innocent lives, but comments about being sickened by that is against the rules?

keep up the good fight.

That it's at all murder is your opinion. An opinion many others (including the law in many cases) do not share. Attacking someone because they have a different opinion is unacceptable. Disagree all you want, but don't make personal insults.

i base my opinion on science, and common sense

So do I, and I disagree with you.

here's a different way to think about it.

Let's say at the age of 10 your child became retarded. Would you have your child euthanized(put down)?

Why stop with abortion, if I have a kid that becomes crippled or retarded at any point in time I would like the option to end it. The same goes with me, or anyone else, if you are incapable of taking care of yourself then it is over. Dragging these incapable people around is a waste of resources. I can not bare the thought of all the animals, plants, and even other humans that are lost in an effort to keep these people living.

This is not inhumane, or a loss of morals. Keeping them around in the first place is only possible due to our desire to defy nature, and the technology of the 21st century. I see someone needing multiple major surgery's every year just to survive to be 20 - 25 years old, as even more disturbing than genetic mutation.

Moving on to the major cost of having people like this around is even more disgusting. It becomes even more heartbreaking when people have other perfectly healthy kids that end up missing out on so many things due to the attention always having to be focused on the sick child. Then beyond that, the burden stretches to the extended family, and eventually the tax payers. The sick, and the dying are a cancer to humanity, and will be our downfall, but that's just my opinion.

This is what your post says

and this is what your sig says

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has there problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Hmmm.....

Yes. Pregnancy is no joke, and I am not risking my loved ones time and health so we can raise a dependent who will do nothing but leech off of society.

I really don't get why people are against abortion? If its had no chance to live its not going to mourn for the life it never had. Some people get way too emotional over issues that just don't affect them

This is terrible of me but this made me laugh.   I just imagined a scene where you like walk into your child room after he done something stupid and go "fuck looks like were gonna have to put him down"

lmao

This could actually make a neat plot for a movie. To reduce the national deficit, the US government passes a law where people who are not financially contributing more than the services they are using will be discarded.

Hmmm I don't think i would have it in me to do so. My brain tells me yes but my heart tells me no.
