Hahaha, yeah that´s right, the game is shit; but dance and laugh with her is one of the best things the wii gave me.

I have so many fond moments:

Playing Wii Sports with people before a dinner party and seeing them fall in love with the ridiculous bowling.
The bosses on No More Heroes, as well as the silly charge up method.
Drawing love hearts in the air on SSX (I think that's what it was)
Falling off the board a load on Skate It. I might be the only to mention how cool that game was.
Screwing up an easy boss on Little King's Story. That software was glorious.
Beating up people in Bully and Godfather. The music for cycling in Bully was also lovely.
Total addiction to Bit Trip Runner.
Floating on the breeze in Lost Winds.
Bazillions of hours spent wiping out Rathians on Monster Hunter and deep sea diving in the Endless Oceans.
Playing Cursed Mountain and Silent Hill in total darkness.
HotD Overkill: that ending. Yeesh!
'What a bunch of jokers!' and 'Reyn time' in Xenoblade. Epic.


I could go on for ages. I've loved the Wii.

I have so many great memories, so I'm just going to give a small selection...

Getting my Wii on UK launch day, setting it up and just messing around with Wii Sports for a few hours with my family, most of whom had never touched a video game before, as well as the many other times on top of that first day with later games like Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports Resort.

The sheer joy I experienced playing through the two Mario Galaxy games.

The return of 2D Mario and DKC on home consoles for the first time since the mid 90's.

Skyward Sword finally delivering on something I had expected many to attempt, when few did in reality.

Epic Mickey stands alone as the only game from this generation that I was totally invested in on an emotional level. It was a true roller-coaster of emotions, despite the games mechanical flaws.

- Trying out the wii-remote with Wiisports, it really was something special
- Pointer controls in shooters, really awesome and very unique
- Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
- Metroid Prime 3 and Other M
- Twilight Princess and SS
- Mario Kart Wii
- Virtual Console

The first time I got a Wii playing the Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess (my favourite zelda game EVER) and playing non-stop for six hours immersed by the atmosphere and new controls scheme.

Playing Mario Galaxy for the first time and wondering why we ever needed HD

Playing Resident Evil 4 on the Wii and knew the superiority of IR aiming.
