That's the exactly oposite... the iOS is the better mobile OS for consumers... best UI... easy, simple, intuitive and fast... that's all. A user don't need to know how config or changes the things like in Android... iOS just works like everyone wants without a previous study.

iOS or Windows Phone today are the best mobile OS in the market... for now iOS is still better than WP but that's can change in the future.

Everyone hate Symbian because it's hard to do anything in the OS... developers, consumers, Nokia, etc... everyone knows the Symbian UI is not friendly like Android.

OS for Developers: Andorid, Symbian, MeeGo (you need with knowledge to do everything the product is designed to)
OS for Users: iOS, WP (you don't need knowledge to do everything the product is designed to)

It's like Windows (iOS) and Linux (Android)... well Android uses a crap javavirstualmachine (customized) who steals almost 50% of the system resources when Linux uses a pretty fast C/C++ code.

1) Doesn't matter, if iOS was so unquestionably better to the vast majority of people than the number of alternatives wouldn't matter. It is because the average user doesn't see much of a difference and one of the Android phones better meets their immediate needs that Android is more popular.

2) Using more functions does not mean that they use more than the shallow capabilities of their device.

3) Windows is pretty iconic but I have seen people skin Ubuntu to look similar to Windows and the vast majority of users couldn't tell the difference. The average iPhone use would think (when using Android) "oh, Apple changed the icons". If you didn't realize it, one of the reasons Apple sued Samsung over the look and feel is because if someone copies Apple's look and feel with Android the typcial user couldn't tell a difference between the phones.

How does the Iphone meet srgb specifications?   Amoled has more and better colors than at least iphone 4s displays  Does the Iphone 5 finally have Oled technology? If not whats the point in having more shades of grey blue red green whatever if your display cant even display black and therefore most of the colors are either washed out or to bright because of shitty led technology?

And btw even the Galaxy one has sRGB well it even surpasses it  so it lacks no color the sRGB standard has  the only problem with surpassing it is that it looks the display has "to much" color.

And I wont even start talking about the crap software in the little iphone universe that the person who made this "counter ad"  talks about...

The average user doesn't know or care about the OS and that makes it easy for them to buy a device for other reasons. People buy the iPhone primarily because of marketing, and people buy the Android phones based on budget, the features and quality are meaningless to them.

Take the Samsung Galaxy S3, do this http://www.idevotees.com/2012/04/android-tutorial-give-android-the-feel-of-ios-5/ and I bet 95% of iPhone users wouldn't know it wasn't an iPhone.
