Forums - General - Samsung attacks iPhone 5! UPDATE: Nokia joins in on the action! UPDATE 2: Samsung release f?&£ed up ad...

Samsung have just released this ad, which is scheduled to be published in the coming days

...Needless to say, they forget to mention that iPhone 5 has a far superior processor (Apple A6) and OS (iOS 6 > 1 year old Android OS)

Smartphone wars are much more interesting than console wars right now. I hope Apple retaliates

I don't necessarily agree with this ad but then again Apple left the door open for attack by releasing what is largely viewed as an incremental update at best.

Yay!!!

I love this. Way cooler than the "console wars" that are largely only acted out through video game fans and not the respective console manufacturers. I miss the old Genesis days...

The A6 is in absolutely no way proven to be any better whatsoever. It's a dual-core, while the Galaxy S III runs on a quad-core (dual-core in NA and Japan). The A6 is clocked at a higher speed than the S III's international version (the quad), but having two more cores means potentially much more capabilities.

As for the OS, uh, its version of Ice-Cream Sandwich is only six months old, and it's about to upgrade to Jelly Bean, which is nearly brand-new. And the age of the OS means absolutely nothing about whether or not it's any good - WinXP vs Vista proves that time and time again. As for which actually is "better", well, that's a thing of opinion, because neither is clearly ANY better than the other, what with a variety of features offered on either that the other doesn't.

Right as Google releases their specialized glasses and take the world over by storm, yup. No one's going to want to lug a bulky archaic cellphone around!

Poor Samsung. They try and try to do these innovative, amazing stuff like removable battery and turn over to mute and still Apple are going to increase a Samsung on market cap due to the iPhone 5 alone. Perhaps a Samsung and a half.

Does the battery have round corners? :P

I will say though, it's a shame that you'd have to root the phone to get stock android on a top of the line phone like that. While I had to root my Galaxy Nexus to get Jellybean (thanks so much for dragging your feet Verizon.....), after experiencing vanilla android, I don't want to mess with TouchWiz, Sense UI, etc anymore.
