The A6 is in absolutely no way proven to be any better whatsoever. It's a dual-core, while the Galaxy S III runs on a quad-core (dual-core in NA and Japan). The A6 is clocked at a higher speed than the S III's international version (the quad), but having two more cores means potentially much more capabilities.
As for the OS, uh, its version of Ice-Cream Sandwich is only six months old, and it's about to upgrade to Jelly Bean, which is nearly brand-new. And the age of the OS means absolutely nothing about whether or not it's any good - WinXP vs Vista proves that time and time again. As for which actually is "better", well, that's a thing of opinion, because neither is clearly ANY better than the other, what with a variety of features offered on either that the other doesn't.
