It would basically be a console which can run games at a detail comparable to the Unreal engine 4 and other modern game engines.

In other words I want to see a substantial improvement in lighting, textures, physics, animations etc. From what we have seen so far it appears that while the Wii U will have a modern architecture it will nevertheless be a modest upgrade over the 360/PS3. For what it's worth I hope to be proven wrong though.

I like that you are being a good sport and giving him honest answers...but he is not looking for a serious conversation. Cuz basically he has nothing to debunk what you are saying.

Oh who gives a shit about debunking opinions. I'm just smashing away at my keyboard, here.

yeah might as well use your time wisely

Does this mean that Sony lied about what was in the launch PS3, since they charged 2 hundo bux less than the reported component cost?

HOELY SHITT.

No it does not obviously. Just seems to be a given when you look at the price considering that Nintendo has never sold a console at a loss in the past. Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating that they sell it at a loss just pointing out that it is not the leap in power I am looking for from a next gen console.

For the benefit of the studio audience, could you quantify this leap in power?

This thread is redundant, since it has long been a VGChartz tradition to treat a "Will you do / who is getting [x] thing" thread as an invitation to declare how one will NOT do / get [x] thing.

And, in the spirit of some of the replies to threads like that, I will NOT be replying to this one.

TOODLE-PIP.

I feel we have had some good discussion in this thread about prices & games people want to see on the WiiU. This thread has definitely appealed to certain segments of the Vgchartz audience and we will be celebrating platinum status of 50 posts soon.

@darknight

Zeruda won't came for another year or two.

I know.  But I'm a very patient man =D

this a great thread for Nintendo haters to get caught and listed on my black list...xD joking

i wouldnt get the WiiU for its launch titles, which arent much of my interest, but im buying it just because i know games are coming, and the tech behind interests me, i dont care paying 100$ more or less...
so answer
NO
Im not not buying it

I'm going to wait until all the consoles of the gen have been released. I'd like to know what the competition is planning before I just jump in. I'm quite interested in ZombiU, but exclusive-wise, not much else.

I'll buy one once the zelda game come out

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

You are the greatest satirist I have ever known, and when faced with such majesty, I can only genuflect.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

1. I'm already gaming on a ps3, psvita and a pc. I have no time for another console, nor the money or the space.

2. I got burned with the wii. I bought it because of the hype and ended up playing about 50 hours overall since 2007. It's not that it's a bad system, I just never had that much fun playing any games on it (sure wii sports was fun at first, but then got old). I suspect that the same thing happened with the psp and the vita.

3. Nothing anounced interests me the least. The leap in graphics and the tablet are not enough for such an investment. However, if a proper Pokemon rpg were to be released, I would definitely buy it.

It's too expensive, there's no graphical leap, no games are appealing, and I'm not into the touch-screen controller.

Maybe toward the end of its life cycle when it's cheap, and there are worthwhile games, I'll consider giving it a shot.

its not expensive at all, 300-350 is pretty good for a launch, theres a graphical leap, specs say so, no games? it has Mario, CoD, Darksiders, AC, ZombiU....., pretty much everything is now touch based, its nothing extraordinary or too different from what we are used to....
pretty much i disagree with everything you said.
