You guys are not seriously saying the Vita is getting nothing else that is big this year.

Final Fantasy X would pass those games, most likely. But it's still unclear if it'll release this year - highly doubt it too.

The only other wildcard is Soul Sacrifice... which might do the trick (even by a lot) or maybe it won't. It's still unclear if it'll be released this year too, but it probably will, they wouldn't be crazy to miss the holidays.

All other games have little to no chance, imo.

Not really for Japan.

As said before this are the releases which are the only mentionable "big" games for japan this year:

-DJ Max Technika Tune (i don't even know this)
-Ys Celceta (other Ys did horrible i think. but who knows, it seems to be a great rpg)
-Fate/Stay Night (don't know how big this is. seems like a typical japanese game which could do ok)
-Totori no Atelier Plus (enhanced port of PS3 version which did 210k in japan on the ps3)

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Not Persona big, as far as I know. Not even Miku big probably. BasilZero listed the games above.

Apart from the ones he mentioned, that AKB game may also appeal to the Otaku a lot, but it's also on PSP so I think all hope is lost for any game to surpass Persona, bar some unlikely last minute announcement at TGS.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

Soul Sacrifice has 90% of chance of passing those games, imo, just to be clear.

And out of those 90%, 40% of passing by a lot. It's the game that deserves it. Not a port, not a multiplat. A vita exclusive big budgeted project - one of the two things it needs. The other is really high profile franchises exclusive games.

The only problem is that it's decreasingly likely to come out this year.

Only titles coming out, I'm guessing in Japan , what is going to be a hit (close to* hatsune Miku/Persona 4 wise) is

-DJ Max Technika Tune
-Ys Celceta
-Fate/Stay Night
-Totori no Atelier Plus

None of these 4 games will come close to Miku or P4G numbers. If any of these games can break 100K LT , that would be an achievement.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I don't think so. It'll be playable at TGS, that's good news.

Layton vs Ace Attorney was nowhere on the news till... bang, release date november and playble for the first time at TGS too.

It could be "delayed", but like I said, they would be crazy not to release it this year. Cockoo crazy.

I have an eye on Soul Sacrifice and I'm pretty sure it was announced to be released early next year, aka not this year.

Edit: I can't find the official confirmation but I swear I have seen it, maybe at the end of one of the trailers. But IGN wrote this in one of their articles:

"Soul Sacrifice launches next spring exclusively for Vita, pricing details have not yet been revealed but in all likelihood it won’t cost an arm and a leg. Perhaps just an eye and a foot."

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Nintendo sucks at announcing announcement of an upcoming annnoucement of the next big thing.

It's scheduled only for "Winter", as far as I know. That spring date is for the western release.

That could mean january and february, but December is the most likely scenario, imo. It's the logical one, or else vita has no gaemz for the holidays.
