Are there any games on any other system that will be big in Japan this year still other than 3DS? I assume Resident Evil 6 will make it there for the PS3. Anything else that will be big?

Lots. Resident Evil, Tales of Xilia, Samurai Warriors 7... lots of others. Even COD is big in japan for PS3. Ass Creed 3 could be too.

Only titles coming out, I'm guessing in Japan , what is going to be a hit (close to* hatsune Miku/Persona 4 wise) is

-DJ Max Technika Tune
-Ys Celceta
-Fate/Stay Night
-Totori no Atelier Plus

None of these 4 games will come close to Miku or P4G numbers. If any of these games can break 100K LT , that would be an achievement.

It'll help the sales though far more than other titles such as LittleBigPlanet Vita in Japan.

never said they wouldn't help but they are nowhere near being hits or close to Miku/P4G.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I told you last week that Miku will drop at least by 80%. Otakus buy their Waifus day one. The Vita drop supports the thoery that there will be a lot of used Vitas and Project Diva games in Japan the coming weeks. They literally only bought the game and the device, it had no effect on the overall Vita economy at all. Maybe someone living there could investigate?

No, Project Diva has a high replay value and most Miku fans are fan enough to keep it. That said, I agree that the game has little impact on Vita's economy.

In general, the drop across the board is quite depressing :(

I'm still pretty sure Hatsune will overtake Persona. But it will be a battle of legs.

Wait. What is going to be the best selling Vita game this year?

Persona left the top 30 with 194k. But since then had awesome legs in the top 50 (where sales are not published). It'still there actually

We'll see how they will clash at the end of the year annual sales charts. But I highly doubt Hatsune Miku will beat persona.

Project Diva can develop legs with a price cut (it was the case with Extend), the title is obviously too pricey for non-Miku fans. I really hope it will make it, I might not survive if this series doesn't. After Valkyria Chronicles, I don't want to see another great Sega series die...

Don't forget Toki to Wa!

I wouldn't be worried about that. It's too big to die.

The way I see it, they shot too high for this sequel. It features all new songs and what-else, and lots of them, right?

Next time they'll just tone down the game a little, instead of 30 songs, maybe 20, for example. Not the best solution, but an okay one, as long as they don't cripple the game. PS3 sales will help future games too.

In the worst scenario, sega could give up, but I'm betting other developers would line up to get the character.

Vita SAVED ... oh. Back to reality.

Well, wasn't expecting Vita to drop so much, but it was obvious Miku was gonna have no long term effect on the system. Was hoping that PSOne classics might have given the system a slightly longer-term boost, but oh well. It is what it is!

They'll make another mainline game I'm sure. It'll just be on 3DS, not Vita.
