The base model 4S was priced at $199, so most likely $199 for the base one (16GB?) and then price increases for more storage. (32GB/64GB)

The iphone 4 base model was also priced at $199 when it released.

I think it looks like a solid device. I'm sure WP8 will improve well, but if MS can't get people to even consider WP, it won't matter.

While I'll stick with Android, I love competition and the innovation it brings. (granted if Apple's fucking lawsuits don't cripple that permanently)

Today's event will likely be:

iPhone 5 (4" iphone 4, better camera, A5X chip (belows shows actually A6 chip), NFC, LTE, iOS6 recap, same pricing, release date)
new iPods (virtually same as iphone 4s, but without phone and with iOS6)
new iTV (better hardware, same pricing, new game focus with controller, iOS6)
I don't think there will be any significant iPad news. I was thinking a 7" version was coming, but I'm not so sure now.

That's what I expect and the iTV one is my out-there new thing, but may not happen at all.

The A5X is just an A5 with quadcore graphics. The 45nm version used in the ipad is too big/uses too much power/gives off too much heat to be used in the iphone. The ipad has a lot more pixels to push on the retina screen which is why they went with it over a standard A5.

I was thinking maybe. An A6 chip would be virtually identical to what's in the Vita, however, Apple has a tendancy to use its tech as long as possible and teh A5X has a solid upgrade on the GPU to the A5.

Basically, I'd put it at a 50/50 chance of being A5X (~vita's gpu) or new A6 (~Vita's cpu/gpu). But, I had not seen that rumor yet... so maybe its already there.

of course, Apple using an A6 would fit my previous statements that phones and tablets before this year is over would at least match Vita's capabilities. I know that will still happen in Androidland.
