What kind of question is this? You're asking if a portion of a game that most people won't even buy and that the competition will eventually get is a better system seller than games the competition will never get.

The answer is obviously games. So, it doesn't matter if PS3 gets timed exclusive DLC for Battlefield 3. The 360 gets Halo 4 and thus, the 360 wins.

I feel like timed exclusive DLC is such a waste of money. Wouldn't you rather it be spent making a new game, or being put in the budget of something that's in development to make it that bit more polished? I know I would.

As for whether it's more of a system seller or not, I have no idea. I'd have said definitely not, simply because for me & my friends it doesn't mean shit all. I really do not know anyone who bought a system because of timed DLC on something. Then again, timed exclusive games on PS2 like GTA worked wonders, so who knows.
