I agree about the ending. Also, the most frustrating level in the game has to be the ship area. That part was soooo annoying. It just felt like they were trying to include as many set pieces as possible, instead of letting the story take on its own course.

Escaping the ship was hilarious. What idiot tries to use an elevator in a cap sized sinking ship, and he's already on the top side, wtf.
The rough seas part was beautiful, but honestly I can't remember what part it had in the story, why was he even there. To save Sully? The story didn't leave an impression, the game only left a list of beautiful locations in my mind.

i think thats the point, there wasnt ment to be a boss fight. uncharted 2's boss fight was heavily criticized and overall boss fights dont fit in in the uncharted series and uncharted gameplay so they just scraped the hole thing from the game. i played the game when it launched so i dont remember the rocket part so i cant comment on that.

The solution to that would be to make a boss fight that does fit in with the Uncharted series, in a level where you have ample room to move around and climb, which is the series' real strength.

I admit that I was playing on Normal, but even so, it would have been nice to be challenged just a little bit near the end of the game. Honestly, it was hardest in the middle and then got easier.

You're right but you're not qualified to claim the game was easy if you haven't played it on a higher difficulty. The UC games were a breeze but you don't get the luxury of saying it. :P

Oh, don't worry. I've finished both Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves on Crushing and have Platinum trophies in both.

I suppose I'll get around to replaying Uncharted 3 as well at some point, but I don't feel the urge to replay that I felt after Uncharted 2.

And I thought that ending was really pretty pathetic.

For one thing, there was nothing resembling a final boss fight. The escape when everything was collapsing was a nice touch, but there was no challenge at all before that. Even the weird supernatural enemies that show up in every Uncharted game were pretty pathetic compared to the monsters from Uncharted 1 or those people who had taken resin in Uncharted 2. The final segment, where you had to fire the rocket, was a cutscene when it could have and should have been gameplay. Marlowe was killed by quicksand of all things. It is never explained how Talbot survived being shot by Cutter without a scratch.

It was a great game on the whole, and I really liked the story, but that ending...

For me the "mano a mano" fight against Talbot was freaking awesome, and even more in crushing, because as there are no tips, you have to have good reflexes in order to counter.   Really awesome!!  For me it is one of the best boss fight in games.

In relation to the supernatural creatures (ghost rider clones), I think they were really awesome, but what I did not like was the fact that they were ilussions, and the enemies in reality does not look like that.

And the Marlowe death considering she was the bad OLD lady pulling the strings, was kind of expected.  How would you have prefered her to die?? A Fight to the death against Drake? LMAO!

Supernatural means. Infected by a deadly virus. Dragged into a pit by a zombie. Set on fire by those imaginary skeleton things. Maybe she dies in her imagination, and thus dies in real life? The same seems to happen to Drake if you let those fire bombs kill you.

Something more interesting than quicksand.

I loved U3 all the way till the ending where we find out that half the questions the game brought up go unanswered, they kill the villain.....again, and the final boss fight was kind of a joke. I have a thread about what I think needs to be improved for the sequel.

yeah, but lets not forget that Uncharted 2 boss was a cheap bastard.  I would say that they almost went to the other side of things, but still it was really awesome, and in crushing is hard as hell, but not frustrating.

I could think that could have happened.   She could have drunk some of that "crazy" water, and because of the ilussion maybe she would fall into a hole or crushed by a rock, considering she is to perceiving reality.  But still, I think the scene as it develops is well done.

I know I am probably alone on this but I thought U2's finale was agood one. Don't get me wrong, I love the Talbot fist fight, it just needed "more" than just that. And for pete's sake ND stop killing all the bad guys and letting all the heroes live!!!!!!!! :/

Yeah, the ending boss battles have generally have been mediocre but I think the endings as a whole tend to be alright. But ND have to be careful that they dont start doing the same thing over and over again. So far all of the games have led to an unknown civilization that for some reason has died out, with a secret threat that needs to be stopped, and always ends with the place/civilization getting destroyed. While the stories have been good, I would like to see some variety - maybe some living people next, or a place that DOESNT get destroyed etc.
