That only proves my point, Tvs.C ran on hardware that was very similar to to the Wii's own. YOu cant say the same for SF4 which was made pretty for the HDs, I think that the wiimote was a barrier as well. Kind of hard to sell a game where only a few people have the controller to play it. (CC in this case)

For pretty, the full version ran on the 3DS I'm sure the Wii could handle it. As for input, the GC controller, the classic controller and all kinds of controllers were supported. I dont think that's an issue, and would not stop people from buying it. All that's left is the online, and they did it with MH Tri. So I can't say I agree.

Its not about whethere you would buy it or not, but what the company; Capcom thinks would be worth it and profitable. Lets try to look at it from their point of view. How much of the Wii owners own a GC controller? how about the CC?? Fact is there is a potential limit as those controllers are STANDARD with every Wii, theres your barrier right there. Unlike the other systems which use standard control. Im not saying the Wii couldnt run some version but at the time Capcom for whatever reason decided not to go with it. Yeah 3ds and iOS version got it eventually but i still wouldnt consider those the full true versions either(3DS has crappy backgrounds and is missing Arcade version content, iOS just plain sucks)

Its a good thing capcom didn't use this logic back in the day with street fighter 2 else sf might have never made it to consoles. Sure the snes couldn't compete with the graphics of the arcade version, sure the snes conroller was vastly different to an arcade stick and its button layout , but the wii at the time was way more popular than the HD twins when sf4 came so it would have made sense for capcom to bring it( the CC was enough for wii).

Nope, the engine that powered the SF arcade was much closer to the SNES one than the engine they used to power SF4 vs. the Wii. The comparisons arent even close really. Button layout?? yeah SNES has six buttons, as does SF games. How much buttons does the Wiimote have?? Exactly, and no CC is not enough because it is not the standard controller for the Wii. Not every Wii owner have one.

I really don't think thats the case.   Street Fighter 4 runs on a Taito Type X2 board.   Which is about 360 PS3 level, hence the ease of port.

I mean, here's the Taito X2's specs here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taito_Type_X2#Taito_Type_X.C2.B2

While the arcade boards of the SNES/Genesis time were far more superior and able to acomplish far more then the SNES could requiring games to be COMPLETELY remade, rather then downgraded often leading to completely different games all together.

I mean compare these two

VS

CP System ports were WAY more compromised then the few downports from 360/PS3 people have bothered to do.

That doesnt make alot of sense. If you were a Ninty fan and a SF fan, then you would have had a PS2 or hell even an Xbox since there was never a SF game released on GC period. So that doesnt really add up. Granted there wasnt an original SF game released during that time anyway with the exception of of SFEX3. But PS2/xbox did have anniversary.  Matter of fact the only 2d capcom fighter that GC had was CvsSnk2 and that was a year late port and the N64 never got anything at all. IMHO most of the Ninty fans jumped ship with the franchise awhile ago or at least they got another console. A SF game hasnt graced a Ninty home console since SNES. Plus there is no gaurantee that ALL owners of GC bought a Wii, thats a hell of an assumption and there is still no gaurantee that they kept all their GC stuff.

They make arcade fight sticks for alot of their games, but seeing as they are expensive, they only make a limited amout. They know only the real hardcore is going to buy that and most will just make do with whatever controller the system uses. Problem is you cant just make do with the wiimote not for SF, trust me I tried playing KoF on just the wiimote and its horrendous and SF uses two more buttons than that franchise. Sure they could have just packed the game with CC controller but they would have to have pack it with most of them and that is still an expensive proposition, they probably figured they could and made enough money of off the PS360/PC version and their rereleases that they really dont want/or need to make one for Wii. Thats not the answer that Wii only owners wanna hear but its buisness sometimes.

It's not just that, it's horribly biased. I told you they made controllers before, but now you're saying they wouldn't make it for Wii because it's expensive, how is that a reason? They did it for Tatsunoko! That's argument enough. With just that all your other reasons are just excuses. (it's not a surprise to me Oni, you tend to look for excuses as to why devs would shun Nintendo)

About Cube owners. what does it matter whether they had a PS2 or not, it wouldn't change the fact that they later owned a Wii and had the option of buying SFIV on the Wii were it offered. Whether it's all who bought a Wii or not is unimportant, the basic assumption is that a good majority did (by definition of them being core Nintendo gamers), so even if it were 10 million it would be enough of a userbase. Regardless, Smash sold 10 million, SF could sell a few as well.

interesting, so it was harder for them to get those games runniny on SNES/Genesis?? I always thought the the frequency of that series apperance(and how the games improved over time) didnt think they had a problem. Maybe they were just not as lazy back then??

There not excuses they are reasons, you just want to believe the conspiracy bunk of 3rd parties having something against Ninty, your welcome to believe that, but i sure wont. How is it being expensive not a reason?? Yeah they did it for Tvs.C that is niche game. SF is there real bread and butter they have to get that baby in as much peoples hands as possible. How they gonna do that when the standard controlller for the Wii doesnt do it justice at all? They would have to make alot of controllers, how much of those fighting sticks you think they make??? Im sure that they are not making a millions of those.

Smash Bros aint the same game as SF, not even close completly different mechanics. Just cause people bought Smash doesnt mean they will buy SF. How many people bought Wii Fit, not how much people bought say EA Active?? ANd no they are not biased since the 3ds ended up with a SF anyway, so that means one of two things. They just didnt wanna deal with Wii for reasons ive already stated or maybe it took that long for Ninty and them to come to an agreement

It doesn't matter. If they made it for tats, and they want SFIV in as many hands as possible, then it's MORE reason for them to make the arcade pad on the Wii if the Wii "lacks" the proper controller. They would make as many as they need to make, and ship according to demand, just like every other intelligent business out ther. It's again a poor reason, and looks like you're looking for reasons just to find them, just to defend Capcom's decision. It's not really working for you and it makes your reasons seem outlandish.

The last paragraph is just you making guesses "They just didn't wanna deal with Wii for reasons I've already stated". What about the reasons I've stated? It's like saying I'm right because I'm right.

@Smash. All I was saying was that the core market was there. But I see what you mean. Regardless, the fact is that there was at least a 10million core gamer on the Cube, so it was enough to warrant a SFIV on the Wii. If the 3DS was able to sell 830k SFIV, then the Wii certainly could.
