Also what core games are doing poorly on 3DS? You probably made it up but watever.

Here are the numbers of some noteworthy titles...

Resident Evil Revelations - 0.59

Kid Icarus - 0.83

Metal Gear Solid 3 - 0.17

Dead or Alive - 0.25

Tekken 3D - 0.09

Ace Combat - 0.10

These numbers aren't impressive. The PSP could achieve numbers like this now and its basically dead.

Like I said completely made it up, you named a bunch of games that dont sell on handhelds anyways and are ports. Try again, MH is a core game correct? Core games are doing fine on this handheld, its just on handheld isnt doing well at all.

MH is doing great in Japan, but an exception doesn't show the big picture.

MH did well on the Wii as well. But you can't tell me the Wii was great at moving core software.

Core software it never received yes? But the core titles it did, yea it wasnt as much of an failure as you guys claim.

I'm not debating how much of failure Wii was at moving core software. I was just explaining why your example was bad. A few successful core titles doesn't mean the hardware is great at moving core software.

I feel the west may not be as interested in playing core games on a handheld console as last gen.

And im debating you cant use games that did sell well for a handheld to judge the success of core titles on the 3DS. Do you even know what sells on handhelds? What are these core titles that sold well last gen?

Pretty simple. Game looks like shit. And boring. And beta sucked.

Of course, just my honest opinion.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Yeah, Mario.

Piracy killed the PSP just like how it killed the PS1 and PS2.

Just pre-ordered it in full. Everyone should get this game and set up tournaments and plan events with friends. This should be a seminal title for PS3 and Vita owners. Let the battle commence!

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Should have known you would become desperate sooner or later. GTA hasn't even released for the 3DS nor MH so what are you comparing those titles to on the 3DS. Did Resident Evil 5 underperform on the 360 and PS3 becasue GTA4 outsold it so much. Thats what you are pretty much saying by comparing much less known core titles on 3DS to those juggernalts on the PSP. Alot of those other titles are Sony titles, which Ninty titles have done just as well on the 3DS. Anyways atleast you answered the question of what sells on handhelds. Thats all that matters not if core titles that don't even do that well on handhelds will sell. GTA and MH is all you got, which is on its way to the 3DS and GTA has yet to show up this gen.

So looking forward to this game!!

You keep focusing on just a couple games. If I was just talking about GTA and MH I wouldn't have posted a list of 52 games. My point is there are a bunch of core games that sold over a million units on the PSP.

In case you don't recall, my argument was I don't believe the Vita or 3DS will be as successful at selling core games as last gen hand held consoles. It seems you now agree with me. Hence, I won this argument.

I think a massive thing to factor into the will it flop or not argument isn't just about the actual sales of PSASBR it is more about can they market this in a way that gets people to actually go out and pick up some Vitas, maybe we should see a vita bundle which comes with this game included for holiday season, I know you get the vita version free if you own a ps3 version of the game, but I mean just a way to rope in completely new people to the PSvita.

Even if the vita version of this sold .250k copies of it.... but they were all people buying vitas just to have a portable smash bros style experience, that would be this game doing absolute wonders for sony.
