Mother 3 is the best JRPG I've played in the past five or seven years, bar none, no questions asked, and everyone who disagrees can eat a brick.

I bought the Japanese version of the game, played the fan translation, and I would not only buy an English release, I would buy it for my friends who I think might enjoy it. I have the disposable income to do that now, and I enjoy the game that much. A Mother Collection on 3DS would just blow me the Hell away.

But I don't think it's ever going to happen.

And we're not getting a Mother 4 - leastways, not from Itoi.

Agreed, that would give me the chance what it is all about.

I've not played any of the games, and I don't anticipate playing any of them through legal means...
But if I got the chance I certainly would...

I'd like to pick up an Earthbound cartridge, but I really don't want to spend $100 on it.

It's not like the game needs the original creator to be great. Even fan game Mother 4 is looking good.
