Yeah some of them, and nobody gave a damn about Pandoars Tower. I never heard of Disaster and Fire Emblem.

The second one is hliarious I hope it meant as joke. I am sure the most 12 year olds live for an epic plot and brilliant characters.

Go fix that now, play Fire Emblem.

I fail to see how Fire Emblem is aimed to children.  I can think of cases of incest, rape and genocide in Fire Emblem 4 alone.  Even given your definition of 'kiddy', I cannot see how Fire Emblem is that.

Your bad.

You didn't even had an answer about adult games like Wii Fit.

There I live adults have to work. Most adults don't have hours to follow an story in a game, they have 10-15 minutes to play some casual game. Children have the time. Yes, many complicated stories are too much for them. But you what: they ignore them except the parts they understand and play it anyway. But the older (12-18) understand very well complicated stories and deep figures. They also read novels and watch movies at this age, you know.

A platformer should be about the platforming. There is no need for a story.

I think the OP is just not feeling Mario as much and as a Ninty fan he doesnt know how to cope. Mario is never gonna change, it wouldnt make much sense too. I suggest M&L series, those seem to be where you'll get your maturity

I just can't stand how Nintendo's games, especially the Mario series, progressively get more cutesy and kiddie with seemingly every installment. Yoshi's Story with it's storybook style, Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy with their vomit-inducing "stories", the NSMB series, cartoon Link in Wind Waker and the DS games. It's like Nintendo goes out of their way to make the most non-offensive games possible, and in the process they end up offending their older loyal fan base with games that, while great in the gameplay department, contain such childish themes and mind-numbing "stories" that they make you embarrassed to play them in front of your peers. Good luck explaining to your buddies or roommates why there's a copy of Kirby's Epic Yarn in your collection.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

How would you know?

And does that really matter if you know them or not? He's trying to point out things that prove your point wrong, not give you games that you could play,

How would I know? The sales reflect the interests of the customers. And if a Kirby or Pikmin game sell several million copies and Pandoar´s Tower not 200k then you can imagine what Nintendo players want.

Exactly, how would you know?

If you don't know, then why are you trying to argue about this topic?

Btw, Pikmin is not kiddy. I doubt you've ever played it if you think that.

I work 8 hours a day and still have enough time for games. I would like to see the average age of PS3, Xbox360 and Nintendo Wii customers. Som kind of chart that shows the average age of the customers of those systems. I don´t see any end to this discussion otherwise

This is not childish? Seriously how would call it then? Just listen to the soundeffects.

Here's how I explained my copy of Epic Yarn to my roommates...

"It's a fun game.  I like it."

And that's that.  Seriously, if your masculinity is threatened by what your friends think of your game collection than that's more of a personal problem.  Do you.
