I don't think they will for a long time.
Pokemon Battle is a good thing only if you have Pearl or Diamond and Sonic isn't that good.

Purely anecdotal but I've noticed that adults who are returning to gaming with the Wii are keen to pick up Sonic when I tell them it exists because they remember playing it on the Mega Drive as kids. As more and more casuals find out about it I expect it'll have very very long legs.

I suspect that sometime between March 31st 2008 and September 31st 2008 Nintendo will announce a value priced greatest hits library, which will probably be made up of 12 to 18 titles (of which 8 to 12 will be third party games) and it is likely that both these games will be in that library ...

Over the 6 to 12 months that these games will be in high availability in the greatest hits library it is plausable that they will each sell between 100,000 and 250,000 units thereby breaking 1 Million units sold.

As others have said Sonic hasn't been updated for EU since the last financials so I am pretty confident it is there or will be very soon.

Pokemon will make it this year.

Others that will make it : Link, RE: UC

Carnival Games is missing the EU data so earnings will show it is probably close to 1 million and will make it this year.

MySims, Rayman 2, Lego Star Wars will sell all year and might make it as well.

So that would be 22 out of the games release in the first 14 months, not too shabby



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

Pokémon will reach a million in spring (probably in may). Sonic I'm not too sure of, it depends how much will be shipped. I think Sonic has 50% chance of selling a million LTD.

Probably it will ship that much , and untill the end of generation it will be pushed to total sales of 1 million ...

The only way these games will hit a million is if Ninny bundles them with every Wii they sell.

The other way is - tossing them off a float during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Otherwise? Nah ...
