How can that be possible I have a 80GB hard dive and when I used the online storage I had 40 MB left. Do you have like multiple saves in games.

I rent a lot of games and back up their saves in case I ever decide to re-rent them again not to mention my acres of RPG I play.

Dude, this thread title is....for lack of a better word, VERY misleading.
I'm going to be taking my old PS3 that has backwards compatibility but a broken disc drive, replacing the disc drive with my new PS3's disc drive, then putting a 500 gig hard drive in it. THEN I plan on getting a new PS3 super slim 500 gig hard drive so I have two PS3's.
Any idea how to fix the hard drive or replace it? currently, it's a fully functioning system, it just doesn't read discs of any kind.

yes, but your title makes it sound like you're angry, not just using it to upgrade. it basically coems across as "Fuck the PS3, I don't want it anymore!" not "I'm selling my old one to get a better model."
