And I imagine that the super slim, if it exists, will not add any new features. Unless you're expecting a price drop, you should probably replace it sooner rather than later so you don't get a lower price for the one you're selling.

Thanks for that, that looks very helpful. Seems Gamescom is next week, after Sony do their thing, I'll do that.
Sell your PS3 now, then wait for Gamescom to buy a new one

That's actually a brilliant idea, I would do that but then I won't have anything to watch tv with or (obviously) play games...
I have the same problem. Installs and PSN titles have sucked my 80GB HDD totally dry. I have to delete stuff all the time and I won't even consider buying DLC for my games. At the time, 80GB seemed like so much (I had a 20GB 360, then) that I figured it would never run out. I haven't even been able to try DC Universe Online and I really wanted that game.
I'm sure it's easy to put in another HDD but I just don't want to go through the trouble. I'll never sell it, though. Why? PS2 backwards compatibility. I sold my PS2 when I got my PS3 (and gave another to my sister) so if I want to play my PS2 games in upscaled resolution, I have to keep my PS3.
Your ps+ right save all your game data save on online storage then delete all you game data utility.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Sadly my save data is a LOT bigger than my ps+ online capacity, but luckily I have an external HDD that I can use.
I'd say wait till gamescom is over. If there's no new announcements just trade it in for a ps3 slim. If your not willing to fork out the extra cash for that then just upgrade the hardrive. As people have already said, it's quite easy to do.
