Dude, this thread title is....for lack of a better word, VERY misleading.
I'm going to be taking my old PS3 that has backwards compatibility but a broken disc drive, replacing the disc drive with my new PS3's disc drive, then putting a 500 gig hard drive in it. THEN I plan on getting a new PS3 super slim 500 gig hard drive so I have two PS3's.
Any idea how to fix the hard drive or replace it? currently, it's a fully functioning system, it just doesn't read discs of any kind.
