Forums - Nintendo - I see both Nintendoland and Super Mario Bros U both being bundled with the WiiU. Anyone else?

It would certainly help sales, but personally, I don't think it'll happen. I think Nintendoland will be bundled (great way to show off the tablet functionality) but Mario is going to sell incredibly well on its own.

A $249 price would be great, but I think $299 is more realistic. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

I really wish that the wiiu would be 250 USD, but it's going to be 300. Nintendo land bundled too, not NSMB U. Also, I don't believe there will be alternative bundles near launch either.

If it was my decision, I would launch the Wii U with Super Mario Bros U for $349 and sell the Wii U tablet bundled with Nintendoland for $99.

correct me if i'm wrong but nintendoland doesn't support two wii U tablets...

Bundling NSMB U would be throwing away millions in revenue from seperate purchases. No way.

I see Wii U launching at $300.
It already includes the console and the expensive Gamepad.
I could see it launching with Nintendo Land. I don't see it launching with more than one game. Nintendo wants to keep the price low, and they want to make profit.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

NSMBU wont be bundled Wii Sports style, if thats what the OP is saying.

It will have a timed bundle, with a Red Wii U/ Gamepad... But no sustained bundle.

I could see them doing two separate bundles, but they'll certainly want to sell them separately as well so I don't think they'll both be in the same box.

You can be sure that retailers will create their own bundles regardless if the demand is high enough.

You'll get Nintendo Land + system for $299.99. I pretty much gauruntee it.

NSMB U they need to make them some $$$$. Sure Pikmin is a darling on message boards like these, but bottom line is a game like that isn't selling jack all.

They need to get back into profitability next year and NSMB U selling 3-5 million units (for the fiscal year end) at $59.99 a pop goes a long way in helping them hit that.

Nope. Nintendo usually doesn't start bundles until the cost of manufacturing the console goes down.

You can see the history of releases here:

There were times they packed in 2 games.  And they did a Duck Hunt/Super Mario Bros. bundle in the past also.

If they're smart they'll bundle the wii-u with nintendoland AND black ops with a pro controller for 350. Immediate profit? no; but if you really want to cut into that 360 fan base...
