PC or APPLE

PC 179 81.00%

APPLE 41 18.55%

Total:220

Oh, the good old comparison .. it's always the same, really.
PCs have better specs but may not work as powerful and efficient as a Mac.
Macs are more expensive (way overprizzzed!!111) but usually Mac owners use them way longer than they would use a PC (or upgrade their PC). This goes on and on through every aspect.
There is no real winner. It is up to you. Do you like games on PC? No Mac for you unless you only play the big games that are made for Mac as well. If you need efficient machines, Macs may be the better choice. If you do lots of media stuff, Macs were the best choice until a few years ago. E.g. you can make music on anything now but the Mac has decades of experience put in (I'd bet no famous music is made on non-Macs) and is still a little superior.
I know even Google has only Macs here in Germany (in their offices in Hamburg). And most likely not just because they have a little extra money to spend.

I use Mac because PCs have always been slower for me when I worked with them. Windows has too many issues when data becomes big and stuff. I don't want to manage everything on my PC so that it works well - especially when time = money. My Mac only freezed once within almost 3 years (while PCs frequently freeze when working with audio projects) and I feel like I can still use it another 3 years without any need for an upgrade. This + a little faster working + more comfortable work with music is why I prefer Mac.

I've always been a PC guy didn't know about MACs except that they were expansive as hell... then I became a graphic designer and studied on MACs and also worked on MACs. Now I know for sure PCs are way better than MACs.

MACs cost more for less, less compatibility (cameras, printers, cellphones, scanners etc), less softwares (games) harder to find pirated softwares, cost a legs to repair etc... Most people I know that have a MAC also run Windows so in order to run Windows people pay more and have less compatibilities... lolll, not for me I guess.

Are you joking, no? That's a cons not a pros.

No I'm not, people keep saying how pirated software are a burden but in the end they're very useful. Especially when you're a student that needs expansive software like Adobe Suite, Nuke, Max etc... say what you want, until I had the money to buy those there's no way I would ruin myself, pirated softwares came in handy ;)

I voted PC... price matters

I like to build and customize my system and save costs. Apple isn't for that.

Good honest answer. Just wondering though, if money was not an object (say you had Bill Gates' daily lunch money) which would you prefer?

If money was not an object, I would probably go with a powerful Mac, but would still use Windows.

Thanks Flan. I asked you that question because of your response and it helps more than you think (nothing to do with apple or PC).

PC market share is like 90 something percent so far more people would choose PC.

Apple is more of a status symbol so people better off financially would probably buy their products, which I thinks is what Apple wants.

MS is more quantity buyer whilst Apple is more "quality" buyer. If you don't understand what I mean by that I don't have the time to explain.

A Windows PC because I can pick the parts and build it myself.

Mac. I like OSX more than Win7 because of it's simplicity and that my Mac works way better than my HP ever did. (And it wasn't a crappy HP.)

If I had to choose gadgets (Tablets/Cell-Phones) it would also be Apple because of their seamless connectivity with each other. They are also designed really well. (HTC makes some nice phones and Android Overlays though.)

This is false as some programs are not supported or well supported on MAC. Tell that to office workers and/or 3DS Max users. If quality means not being able to use a lot of software then a lot of people don't want quality and opt for choice.

Mac all the way. I grew up with Windows and got tired of system crashes, conflict errors, registry errors, and performance levels that drop off every month. Every IT person I have worked with has told me that PC should be wiped clean, reformat HD, and reinstall Windows every 6 to 12 months. Now I admit things are probably better now, but 4 years ago, I was so relieved to go Mac. My wife still uses PC, and she often runs into errors and issues, especially when trying to connect to WiFi in hotels and airports. She often has to use my MacBook, which has always worked. I have kept my MacBook for 4 years, and my iMac for 3 years. I see no reason why I can not keep them for another 2-3 years. I never got more than 2-3 years out of a PC before it was worthless junk that did not function well, and was impossible to sell. Macs are not for everyone, and do not do everything as well as a PC, but overall I enjoy using my Mac every day and it makes me smile. I can not say the same for my wife with her PC.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.

NNID = RangerOne

He was talking about the people who buy Apple products, not the products themselves. Right?
