Rare no longer has the business philosophy Rareware had nor is Rare made up of the same creative individuals that made Rareware. Should Nintendo acquire Rare, expect no new IPs of the same caliber Rareware developed; if any, Nintendo would most likely acquire the studio to assist them in their newly developed infrastructure.

yeah that's the point. i could see microsoft selling an ip or so but not rare because rare is more profitable than they ever were. microsoft won't sell a part of their gaming studios which is very profitable after their restructure.

Maybe Nintendo is just securing the rights to release the old BK games on VC for WiiU.

And it'd be nice to see them in Smash Bros.

RaRe is making good use of Kinect and their Kinect games sell like hot cakes.

I dont see MS selling RaRe.

But OLD RaRe is dead we can all hope they will have a glorious return next gen.

Nah, Microsoft owns the IP, so it's possible Nintendo could buy the IP woithout touching Rare. If they do get the IP, they might as well get Rare's other dormant IP like Killer Instinct and Conker. Conker and the gang could be in the next Smash bros which would be a big plus. 

As for Rare itself, Microsoft has other studios working on Kinect games, so they could probably them of and not lose much given there isn't much at Rare anyway. Today's Rare could flourish likethey did in their heyday if they have the proper guidance, but Nintendo would have to pay a lot, more than they're probably willing to.

It's not happening, the Kinect Sports games are selling really well and Rare is supposedly working on a a hardcore exclusive for the next Xbox.
