Err no one answered my question, is the multiplayer online or local ;x?

I don't know if it's been announced yet but I doubt it'll be online.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;(

My chances of finding someone with a Wii-U in local area (that I know) would be less XD. Everyone I play multiplayer games I know only online ;x. Anyways thanks for the response.

I remember reading something either yesterday or Monday about Iwata stating that NSMBU will not have online multiplayer and he mentioned another game and I think it may have been Nintendo Land.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Nevermind, that second game to lack Online play is Pikmin 3. Nintendo Land is still unconfirmed for whether or not it has online play.

none of these are too exciting, current gen titles like Last of Us and Halo4 vs nintendoland....

it's fanboys hyping their console of choice, how surprising lol

I've never seen anyone hype Nintendoland. Everyone is hyping P-100 and ZombiU.

Don't compare us to yourself like we do the same things....

I am not sure but does NintendoLand offer online multiplayer or is it just Local multiplayer?

If its online, I might consider getting it.....if I can find anyone else I know who gets it of course ;)

That Luigi's Mansion mini game looks fun!

Will you have to pay for Nintendoland?? I thought it was bundled with the console like Wii sports was with the Wii.

Wii sports wasn't bundled with the console until near the end of the first year. It has alrady reached mult-million seller status before that on its own.

Pretty sure WIi Sports came with my launch system. Yep, it did. It wasn't bundled in Japan though I hear.

I see. I guess I remembered wrong. Though it was still the nummber 1 selling game even outside of the bundles.

In the west? I have a hard time believing that. Every person that bought a Wii would have a copy.

I didn't have a copy with mine and it was  a launch Wii. I've never had Wii Sports at all.

I'm taking your word for it, but I'm sure I remembered the first console being just the Wii and 1 Wii mote then later being released with Wii Sports and 2 Wiimotes.

Nah, I'm not lying about a pack in game that game with the Wii. It was bundled with Wii Sports everywhere but Japan and S.Korea. This is very easy to check.

It couldn't have been standard for all of them. It wouldn't have made sense for NIntendo to sale the game seperately in the first year or 2 if it came with every single system. Everyone would have had it already, guaranteed.

It also wouldn't explain why my Wii didn[t come with Wii Sports.

NSMBU doesn't have online!? I guess the only "online" we'll get  for that game is the Miiverse thing, this is still a big let down though.

"The game was first released in North America along with the Wii on November 19, 2006, and was released in Japan, Australia, and Europe the following month. It was included as a pack-in game with the Wii console in all territories except Japan,[3] making it the first game included with the launch of a Nintendo system since Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy in 1995."

Can't tell you why your Wii didn't have one but it was a pack in with the console since launch in USA.  The only way you could obtain another copy till they released it as a Nintendo Select was through their website.   If you are from Europe then I would assume the same scenario.
