Which Pokemon game was that?
The reason I ask is because, back when I was a cop, another cop friend of mine came across a bunch of video games. He kept them all but he gave me a few Pokemon games as a joke. I can't remember which ones they were (I've never played a Pokemon game in my entire life) but when I took them to Gamestop, along with a couple of my own games (PS2 titles Disgea 1 and Shadowhearts Covenant--I'd bought them from a local video store for $10), I wound up with a fully paid for DSi and a horizontal stand for my Wii!! And this was at Gamestop! He was pretty pissed when I told him how much money I got for those games. I'm pretty sure the DSi had just come out and I think I put the receipt in the box. I probably still have it.
Anyway, the point is that Pokemon games are (or were) worth a lot of money. Look into seeing what that game is worth on its own. I think you did the right thing, though. You sold something you didn't want for a price you were happy with. I just think you could have gotten more.
As an added bonus, here's a pic I took late last year or early this year of my portables--this was before I had gotten a Vita. One DSi, Two 3DS's, Two PSP's, one DS Lite (I had two but I can't find the white one anywhere), and three phat DS's. I don't play anything but the 3DS's and the PSP's so maybe I should follow in your foot steps and make an eBay account. On second thought, nah. I'll keep 'em!
