I wonder if it'll come with a pricecut.
I think the most important question on everyone's lips is, will it still have an internal power supply?!
Still holding on to my phat...an even cheaper/smaller model would be welcomed, especially if PS4 won't be able to play PS3 games.
I'd like to see mint green, ocean blue and hot pink variations

Looking at my PS3 now, its not really slim.
Could be a whole lot slimmer.
When is Gamescom again? A new, actual Slim at $199 or cheaper would do amazingly well.

Anything to keep the price of PS3 going down is good for us and good for Sony. Releasing this sort hardware update this year would build lots of momentum for the Playstation brand, and would help PS3 sales continue beyond even the release of the PS4 (end of 2013 timing seems perfect). I do not expect any Gaiki streaming integration for the PS3. I see no reason for Sony to play all their cards into a console nearing the end of its life cycle. That sort of functionality is necessary to launch new hardware with high momentum.
If all this happens along w/ a Vita price drop prior to the launch of Wii U, this could be a pretty significant in the long run. If the PS3 and Vita were each at $199 this holiday, Sony could really hurt the competition.

A new slim model in itself should be enough to guarantee good PS3 sales over the holidays with its current price point, Sony needs the extra cash and they can see a remodel alone is enough to entice people to buy a system after Microsoft did it with the 360 slim. Of course this is with the idea that Sony wants cash and they have always wanted marketshare more in the past >.>
