Not really, it is still quite big. I want to see a version that isn't as flat and wide as the current slim. |

That's a big enough improvement.
Yes, the fat looks miles better. One with the same proportions but thinner ala the PS2 slim would be perfect.

The original looks so much sexier imo. I want a slim version of that |
I have to agree.... the original is a sexy beast.
Cool sounds great! The PS3 slim is way better than the fat, but is still big for a console. I might even have to buy a super slim if the price is right.
Sony may keep the PS3's price tag as is to avoid the PS Vita looking to expensive next to the PS3.
This may entice me to buy one, if there is a price cut that comes along with it that is.
id be a bit shocked if a new designed ps3 releases
as long as they dont remove more features and add ones that are needed like wireless N then i will probably buy it
i also hope the pics are true and that it will have a rectangle shape instead of a perfect square like the current ps3

here in Germany the price of a PS3 effectively already is 200€, so I do expect an official price cut to 199€ when they introduce that new model
| Zim said: The word you are looking for is width lol. It was just a quickly made comparison by someone on neogaf. It's not 100% accurate. Just a good representation. The difference in width in real world and that picture really isn't a large amount at all. |
English is not my native language so I can make mistakes XD. It is nice to learn something in order to get better ;D
I think that a better comparison pic would be this:

I used the Sony comparison pic, and arranged the fat and the slim to match their actual size. If you compare this pic with the original, you can clearly see that the slim is taller and, considering the fact that it is a square, also has more width :D.
Now this new slimmer version makes sense :D
EDIT: I checked a dictionary and wide can also be used ¬_¬
