Forums - Gaming - BioWare Has Listened And Tried, So Don't Act Like Children

Just got done playing the extended cut (went for synthesis) and it was great! Much more in-depth explaining of everything. It is what I believe the ending should have been in the first place (I must say though that I didn't mind the original ending) and I'm just overjoyed that they did this.

Well done Bioware, well done!

I am perfectly happy with it.

I haven't really heard a good reason not to be perfectly happy with it.

FUCK BIOWARE

they openly toll anyone who disliked the original ending by adding the refuse option which honestly makes the most sense from Shepards character point of view and making it a giant middle finger to those who didnt like it.

Im officially over Bioware and ive never complained about a games ending and am ver laid back on being judgemental with games. People who enjoy these new endings, which arent even any different just with prettier cut scenes, deserve this crap ending.

Come on man settle down. Did you get a chance to play the extended ending? Because it really does a good job of tying up some of the blatant plot holes and loose ends that the original ending had.

I don't get the people saying 'They should have a happy ending, I want a happy ending'. That really isn't your choice - and it shouldn't be. Despite the fact that it's an interactive game with some degree of choice it remains Bioware's narrative and having an inevitable sad (or at least bittersweet) ending is very much a purposeful narrative choice.

I still don't like the fact that the endings are completely independent of previous choices (some feed forward would have been nice), but I'm glad they've fixed the sloppy writing and plot holes that were the biggest problem with the initial set of endings.

Highly unlikely that gamers will not act as children.

I'll take the blue ending as the "happy" ending now

It is metal as Hell

I only saw the paragon ending (As that's what I chose in my playthrough), and it's pretty much the conclusions I came to for the ending. Though I also feel that new endings weren't necessary as the outcomes were pretty clear.

Yes it does that. It doesn't change the fact that the endings themselves are a thematic failure.  It's a more detailed version of something a good deal of the fanbase didn't want.

There is no thematic failure here.

is the indoctrination theory destroyed by the EC? omfg i am a sad man

No. Nothing from the IT is debunked by the EC, and BioWare has said they will never proscribe the IT.
