Forums - Gaming - BioWare Has Listened And Tried, So Don't Act Like Children

Lol u guys defending Bioware are funny. Please explain these massive plot holes to me

1. Why does The starchild tell you organics and synthetics will always war even though u just united the Geth and Quarians

2. Why do the Reapers bring the Citadel to Earth and then create a convienant portal strait to their off button so just anyone can go up there and do what they want as long as u get passed them.

3. How does magic pixie space dust sprinkle across the universe and magically out of thin air create organic tissue in synethetics and synethtic tissue in organics.

4. Why and how would the cruciable use Shepards body to creat the magic pixie dust whenever whoever created the citadel had zero idea shepard would ever exist

5. Why do you ever oppose Saren or the Illusive man when they were both actually 100% right and neither were in any way evil. Saren wanted Synthesis and The Illusive Man wanted to control the Reapers. Both options are considered ok at the end of the game

6. Why does Shepard argue vehemently with Illusive man on citadel that its impossible and wrong to control reapers, but then mere seconds later the random starchild whom hes never met comes out of nowhere and tells him its ok shepard blindly believes him and asks no questions.

Im just getting started would u like more?

"No spoilers in threads which are not clearly marked for them. One year is the cutoff under which a 'spoiler' becomes 'general information', which can be discussed in any thread at any time."

From the forum rules. This thread is not marked for spoilers.

I've reported you regardless, but please, put them in spoiler tags, eh?

Really khuutrareporting me when in nearly four years ive been banned once and for a long sig? Stop bein upset cause i think the new endings suck. Im on a phone and cant quote or edit if a mod woul like to edit the spoiler post im more than ok with that

I don't actually care what you think about the endings, that's why I'm not arguing the points with you

I just care that you've got spoilers out in the open, unmarked, where people who haven't played the game can and will read them

Edit: There haven't been any mods online in over an hour

Peculiar but inevitable sometimes, I guess

Still downloading the EC,so I can't speak on that. As for fans complaining about the original ending...

Fans are entitled to have an ending that

a) Is competently written and following the logic of the series and its world.
b) Is complete and offering a sense of resolution.
c) Fulfills the promises that were made implicitly by the game and explicitly by its creators.

Bioware did not deliver a satisfactory ending and thus fans complained. Don't know what's with the sudden rash of anti-consumer mentality.

Come on man settle down. Did you get a chance to play the extended ending? Because it really does a good job of tying up some of the blatant plot holes and loose ends that the original ending had.

Yes it does that. It doesn't change the fact that the endings themselves are a thematic failure.  It's a more detailed version of something a good deal of the fanbase didn't want.

There is no thematic failure here.

This youtube comment. Sums it up nicely.

Mass Effect 3; the game where your ending choices are
A) Genocide
B) Totalitarianism
C) Galaxy-wide eugenics
D) Trusting that unity, cooperation, and fighting spirit will be enough, you know, like the first two.

Cooperation is the only one that leads to extinction.
Nice thematic resonance, (not really)

What part of this is thematically problematic, though?

@ Darc Requiem

Could not possibly agree more. Honestly the endings are downright insulting.

And the fact that the new option 4 which best represents the themes of the series and shepards character is the only one that leads to distruction is crazzzy. Honestly to me this DLC just confirmed how out of touch Bioware is with fanss of the series
