Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Seems Mistwalker is going to be back on board for the Wii U

More "good" RPGs on the way it seems. Maybe the Wii U can get the Lost Odyssey 2 as well.

GameZone: Could The Last Story possibly lead to more action-RPGs — not necessarily in this franchise — but maybe some action-RPGs for the Wii U with a similar style from the same development team?

Takuya Matsumoto: The development team and Sakaguchi-san are looking forward to making more, especially for the Wii U because it has another [screen] right in front of you that will add another level of strategic elements into the action-RPG. So we are really looking forward to it, but we haven’t really planned anything.

Well I'm always excited for a Sakaguchi title.

Lost Odyssey definitely doesn't need a sequel, though.

Holy crap. Even when they said "iOS game," I assumed something... more fitting...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I disagree and if did, MS holds the license.

Man, everything important about Kaim's character was resolved! It got resolved. Everything is cool now. It ended. It was a good ending.

Hopefully they make a good game and a full game at that. The Last Story wasn't either. Easily the biggest letdown of 2012.

Its 2011 game, not 12 and I must completely disagree. The game was great for what was their, there just simply wasn't enough of it. A lot of people will also be turned off by its leniency in the character death department. The plot was great, the graphics were great and the battle system was great. The online was middling and the battle alternate between too easy and too hard with no real middle ground which was kind of off putting sometimes. It just needed more content overall. Everyting else about it was good.

Um no everything wasn't seth they gotta go rescue seth lol! A new world and everything for the second game if they went to go get her anyway could be awesome.

Good. The Last Story was a welcome attempt at creating a cool RPG battle system, even if not everything panned out as it should. I'd love to see what ideas Mistwalker can come up with for Wii U.
