You should just go back to the said thread, pick up the names of the users, and have a private discussion on whether these freebies are considered valid 'sales'.

Are you making a serious statement here?  Does everyone else REALLY have that bad or selective a memory that they do not remember that being brought up repeatedly last year when the 360 and PS3 sales started getting closer last summer before the PS3 price cut?????

I swear sometimes I feel like I'm Oliver Wendell Douglas and this board is Green Acres.  Where's kowenicki?  nightsurge?  Michael-5? Seece ....... ?

But either way that second line in the title is uneeded since there will always be hypocrisy from every irrational person on all sides of an argument.

here's what i remember...

Step 1: vgchartz tracks ~250k for the month in the US.

step 2: npd reports 600K for the month.

step 3: patcher reports that the massive difference in tracking is due to the fee 360 deal not due to retail.

step 4: 360 trolls overplay the MoM difference as trouncing the compitition while anti-360 trolls downplay it as not real sales.

Good idea, but I wonder how this will play here.  MANY criticized ANY 360 sales boost by crediting it to the almost identical 360 deal recently.  So now that Sony is doing it, will they criticize them as well?  Or will they come back and admit the 360 offer in the past actually had merit?  Or will the silence be deafening once again?

Sorry if this seemed to have a particular bite too it, but I'm not a fan of hypocrisy and I've seen a ton here.

This thread reminds me of the episode of "how I met your mother". The one where Barney sleeps with 200 women and goes back to rub it in the face of that kid from the first grade. Yeah, a lot like the episode, i couldn't find a clip, wish i could.
