Forums - Nintendo - 3rd Party Games you'd enjoy playing on Wii U

I don't care whether FFVSXIII comes out on PS3 and/or WiiU, I just want it to be released; it feels like I have been hyped about the game for a lifetime. WiiU exclusive would also have the bonus of the meltdowns as well.

I've said it numerous times already but I'd love to play Fatal Frame with the WiiU pad.

Nintendo owns that IP now.

I'd love for the Wii U to get a bucket load of strategy games. HD resolution gives more screen realstate for these kind of games, both wiimote and gamepad have precise pointer controls - and everyone loves strategy!

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Some have already said the obvious ones, from Watch Dogs to Fatal Frame.

But any Point'n'Click game could work with the touch screen, so all Telltale games would be welcome.

@Everybody who posted on this thread.
Please try to understand the OP.
I'm not asking you to make long shallow lists of types of games that could potentially work well on the console.

I'm asking you to talk (in some detail) about one specific game that you would like to see a third party make for Wii U. Something you would be highly likely to purchase if it was good. Something that is a good fit both for the interface and for the audience.

Something that a publisher or developer reading this thread would be able to unquestionably understand, and know what you want them to make. Also something you believe many others will like, so it would have a good chance of selling so they would make a profit on the game.

Maybe I should have this thread's title renamed to "Pitch a Wii U game to a 3rd party publisher".

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Oh I didn't know that they owned it now. I hope they make good use of it then.

@gumby_trucker: so, you want us to pick a 3rd party game and explain why the WiiU could make it even better?

Ok, EA's Sim City.

With the help of the controller and its screen, you could play the game with the TV showing only the city, while we have the menus and drawing board in the  controller, making use of the the stylus to draw the structures, roads, pipes, etc as we want them.

To move around, we should use the left stick, and the d-pad could be used for menu short-cuts, leaving the 2 shoulder buttons for other actions like zoom.

And the best part is that, given that we have only used the buttons/sticks of one side, Maxis could add an option for left and right handed gamers.

Excellent. Classic point and click wouldn't work with the pad, as you cannot point on the main screen (and holding a wiimote AND the pad would be ... difficult), but you could make a whole new experience for adventures. Walk with the sticks in a 3D-world and if you are near an object, you get a list of actions on the touch-screen, including actions involving your inventory.

I want a new Monkey Island.
