I think they said recently that they were discussing it with partners, but i believe we will learn about it sooner rather than later. At the end of the month Nintendo will have a new investor meeting and something might be talked about.
It would be good if they showed their online strategy all at once and revealed a few unnounced games that took advantage of an online mode as i can`t recall hearing about it regarding Wii U games... and if you look at the list you can only guess what those might be(ZombiU, NBA, Tekken).
A dedicated Nintendo Direct would be the best way to do that.

Yeah, as far as I know their shares dropped 2.5% after e3 ^^ they need to wow their investors. God, I hate investors! They have too much input in what's going on!! I think this meeting is the 28th?

Yeah they admitted they kept a lot under-wraps to prevent "copying", so there will be some type of event. (Probably a Nintendo Direct in conjunction with a press day.) Along with hand-on events, at least they were hinting at it for Great Britain. (I'm kind of hoping they will have something at the escapist expo in September.)

As someone who doesnt own a ps3 or a 360, I welcome some of the ports. Ninja gaiden looks nice (nintendo is helping after all) batman looks good, darksiders II looks good, assassins creed is fine and so on. I am getting the wiiU on day 1 because love nintendo's 1st party games, pikmin looks awesome, mario U looks terrific, project p-100 looks very interesting and the lego games looks hilarious. Zelda, smash, mario kart, metroid, star fox and maybe fzero are enoung reason to warrant any purchase...

It`s on thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Japan time - according to Nintendo Japan time.
I think something will be announced, even if it is just when they will reveal more - like the japanese games to make launch! :D
