Just to address these two:

3) That thread has a poll in it, so I can see why it exists. It's also a highly specific discussion about sales for a very popular game. You don't really want discussions about sales and gameplay getting mixed up. The metascore thread didn't really need to exist, but this one does, I think.

4) If I may speak freely, the only reason Maxwell wasn't demodded was because ioi would likely have become annoyed, since he was appointed by ioi.

3. Granted and agreed after speaking to yo_john. Sales threads definitely have their own place (in the Sales forum). The need for multiple sales threads about the same game - maybe less pronounced?

But my original point stands, and the consolidation of topics is a good thing. At this point, yo_john's thread is more appropriately a HYPE thread, albeit a gameplay-oriented one, and I don't think it necessary for there to be more than one of those at a time. The same will be true when the game comes out.

4. Understandable. Again, this point was only here to support 5.

Is it worrying that this has been the longest discussion I've had on VGC for well over a year? Perhaps there is something to all of this condensed thread stuff.

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

Not sure if mentioned above. A mobile version of the site would be nice, with the ability to do a rich text reply. Try quoting someone's comment on an iPad and you will know my issue. I know it's probably not going to happen soon, but iOS, Android, and WP7 apps would be nice.

Also on the Chartz side. It would be nice to see a game's sales by week past the first 10 weeks again. I miss being able to graph out the sales of a game since launch.

Considering that we've only said about half a dozen things apiece? I mean, maybe a little. It suggests that the threads, as they are, don't have the substance necessary to engage you.

I think that's something we can fix. That's all.

Sigs are a issue? I have a prehistoric computer and everything works fine. Try comcast.

People are saying the two elimintation threads and 2-3 spammish threads that are gone now have driven some away? Out of 25 to 50 new threads a day plus older threads. Over dramatic, over sensitive, over acting.

Khuutra has a sharp tongue and a quick mind. So did Johnny Cochran. Using his power to push around his weight and get you to agree with him and follow him like a little puppy.

Problem with Yo_Johns thread as well? Wow! Yo_John quick question? Would you report someone for making their own Halo 4 thread on any matter? Does your thread stop anyone from making a thread about new leaked screenshots, gameplay, sales, etc?

As for the guy Kantor just banned. He would have been gone soon enough. Our mods are plenty efficient on this site and khuutra is basically saying they are not.

What you are saying khuutra is we should ban a quarter of the members and then pray to God that old members just come back out of the blue because the site is more strict. I talk to quite a few old members on southsky. None of them said they left for good because the site was not strict enough. Go figure!

You are out of touch with this site! Make fun of what I say, but its the truth. People like you always react that way when they think they are above someone, even if that someone is right.

Cheers!

No. I would maybe give a link to my thread and say it should probably be put there. But I don't care enough to do anything more than that.

It's High.larious that we as a community learn to cope with The Ryantist's wild Autolycus shenanigans; and collectively evade his rambunctious posts. We understand the Thunders is going to the Finals and may very well become champions in the upcoming weeks LOL!

Kindle Fire porn on the toilet for the win! I, myself, have Sony Tablet S for that. Hahah!

I have a few things I'd like to see:

  • Bring back VGChartz $ instead of gamrpoints :)
  • Add more mods please!
  • Add a like button (using Kylie Dogs important post to set rules for it)- This does seem to be a controversial topic, so maybe a separate thread, with a poll to ask the community if they want this :)
  • Keep the database and site together- I want people to be able to see my game collection and what I'm playing, but it isn't that important to have it when I post, just keep it on my wall :)
  • Can we stop using the adds which Chrome asys is malware? It comes up quite a lot and certainly isn't helping the site :/
  • Trim down the number of forums: (its virtually the same as everyone elses, but I'd like to add an Apple forum, potentially, there are a lot of Apple fans out there who could go to this site)
    Sales Forum
    Multiplatform Gaming Forum
    Nintendo Forum
    Sony Forum
    Microsoft Forum
    Apple & Mobile Forum
    PC Gaming Forum
    Offtopic Forum

5. See, that's what I like. I like the murder. (also that was the poster I was really referring to). That's discretion used constructively and nobody reasonable can possibly argue with that decision.

I just want more of it. Harder bits of it. I want Rol to think real long before he hits that "Post Thread" button, God love him.

What's that supposed to mean? Tell me.

If you make a topic specifically to rile up other users you'd end up getting knocked in the head

Overall... just please hurry and bring back the charts, ioi! That was one of the best parts of this site. That is why I joined in the first place!

Was i the only one who liked Maxwell? He crushed anti-Nintendo stealth trolling with a vengeance, and crushing stealth trolling is just what's needed.

The one who rubbed me the wrong way was Seece, as he was king of stealth trolling with tacit administrative approval

I agree with Khuutra that too many attempt to use the mantle of "opinion" with which they can say whatever they please. Opinions can be objectively wrong, and there is a time and place for everything.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
