I thought the lol's would've been gone from this thread by now, but really it's still amusing.

I find your lack of

 Ken Kuturagi disturbing?

On the innovation front, the funny thing for Sony fanboys is that the PS wasn't even really a Sony innovation. It was commissioned by Nintendo as a cd attachment for the SNES and was a joint project, the deal fell through, so Sony said "F you" and made a console from the project's remains. Hence why the first PS controllers were basically just SNES controllers. There was nothing "innovative" about the project either, as Sega had already done it.

Do you have a source stating the Nintendo PlayStation project was commisioned by Nintendo? If so, why would they choose Philips and betray Sony? The PS1  as we know has nothing to do with the Nintendo PlayStation, since after the cancellation of the project in 1992 Ken Kuturagi was working on a CD rom based wich involved playing videogames with 3D graphics.

Still, the SNES audio chip was made by Sony.

"were cast by the UK's largest men's lifestyle website, AskMen.com"

And therein lies your problem. I wouldn't really expect the readers of that website to understand how trivial an invention the PlayStation is compared to the personal computer, seeing as it would never have existed without the personal computer, because it isn't a gaming or technology website. It's pretty much an online tabloid.

Also, the link in the article doesn't even work so I'm beginning to think they made this list up.

I... ummm.... what? How? I initially htought this was a joke, or jsut misinterpretation of data, but no, a statement that idiotic has now been uttered by mankind. I think this ranks right up there amongst the absolutely stupidest, misinformed, ignorant, moronic statements ever uttered by human kind.

Honestly all i got from this survey is 1 pretty good result. People are morons, they don't know the first things of how the world around them works, and they apparently are proud to be said morons.

Lol... the most important innovation in the world is PC of course. Almost nothing is made without a PC since the last 30 years.

shouldn't that credit really go to the transistor, cause vacuum tubes, well you know

Well we could say the same for almost every computer components but it's the whole thing that makes everthing possible.

I would like to have a computer with women inside like they used to do. I would pay around... hmm...  a thousand dollars shipping included for this

Also keep in mind, Sony was not the first to do polygon rendered games, even on consoles. Games like Starfox and Virtua Racer did it before the PSX was even launched, as were the Atari Jaguar, and the Sega Saturn. (saturn came out the same year as PSX)

What exactly did the Sony innovate with the Playstation?

Lol, is that your source? It doesn't mention anything about Nintendo commisioning anybody. As a matter of fact, your source states "In 1994, the new PlayStation X (PSX) was released"

Facepalm, does she know what she's talking about? The original PS was unofficially known as PSX, its official name was never PSX, the PSX is a PVR based PS2 console that was only released in Japan back in early 2000s.

To your last question: Sony innovated 3D gaming and bringing gaming from a nerds hobby to something cool.

and someone tried to tell me turkish doesn't work for sony. who still believes that? even in the thread with the girl sitting on the guy playing pc games the first he thought was "oh vaio -> it's a cool picture"
