I thought the same as well, but upon further evaluation I must say it looks interesting and I kind of want to see it.

Excluding 101 and Winnie the Pooh, they're all in the same decade. Aladdin and Lion King are just two years apart, while Mulan and Hercules were separated by just one year. Cheebee's right: there was much more variation in animation before CG became the mainstay.
I'm mildly interested in Brave. Of course, I was only mildly interested in Up and Wall-E too, and I ended up loving both movies. (I was super excited for The Incredibles, and that's still one of my favourite movies of all time). I never bothered with Cars 2 though. When I heard they were making a sequel to Cars, I was very disappointed, as I found the first movie to be Pixar's weakest movie. I do tend to prefer Pixar to Dreamworks, however. Dreamworks makes a lot of good stuff, but I haven't had the same enjoyment from them as I have from most Pixar movies.

Well Dumbo, Pinocchio and Snow White all look the same to me...
I mean I guess it's just very subjective.
Pixar's been cooling off lately from their do-no-wrong hit streak. Not sure how Brave is going to turn out, but the last 2 out of 3 Pixar movies were meh (Cars 2 and Up). And next they are making a prequel to Monsters Inc. for a company that stayed away from sequel-itis (with the obvious exception of Toy Story), this is a worrysome trend IMO. They're basically copying Disney at this point, which is not a good thing.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Generally speaking there's about 4 distinct generations of Disney style and animation in their feature length films. The first is from Snow White through the 50's up till Sleeping Beauty, with the "classic" Disney animation style. Then in the 60s and 70s they started looking a bit more like saturday morning cartoons with their simplistic backgrounds (see The Aristocats, 101, etc.) Then they went into a sort of experimental period in the 80s mixing some classic animation with the more modern stuff and early computer animation (Fox and Hound to Rescuers Down Under). Then finally came the "renaissance period" which started with Little Mermaid and lasted up until Tarzan, when Disney stopped annually releasing hand-drawn films in theaters.

If it were any other studio, I would agree. Since it's Pixar, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
I remember seeing Up trailers and thought the movie looked stupid.
I remember thinking a movie about Toys come to life couldn't be good.
I remember thinking a movie about a Fantastic Four ripoff would be lame.
I remember thinking yet another post apacolyptic movie about how we trashed the Earth was going to be too preachy.
Ya get what I'm getting at here?

And the pretty bad looking sequel comics they re planning on releasing?
I thought Up looked meh and then it had me crying, so I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt
