Akiyama made Yakuza 4 girly, he was added to please increasing female Yakuza fan base in japan. So its not suprising you like him

The only awsome one besides Kiryu-chan was Saejima-san.

Hostess maker was the only thing I hated about the game. I platinumed Yakuza 4 and in order to unlock all hostesses you have to bring all hostesses to no.1, and I found it soooooo repetitive.

I was reluctant to try it out, but saw so much praise about the game that I thought I'd give it a try. Now it's one of my favourite games of the gen!

 

It's basically a brawler/RPG with a great story an tons of thing to do. You can just walk the streets and you'll find side quests, minigames, etc. Great atmosphere that imitates the Kabuki-Cho area in Tokyo. You can spend hours doing side stuff or you can go through the story and avoid it if you prefer (I don't recomend this but to each his own).

 

You can jump straight to Yakuza 4 if you want too, you have a recap of previous games anyway. I liked the story better in Yakuza 3 but Yakuza 4 has more stuff to do and more characters. Anyway, I'm sutre both games can be found cheap nowadays.
