XBLA is on fire at the moment!

2 weeks ago Trials: Evolution broke the 1st week sales record, and this week minecraft took the record from Trials! This is a sign of the digitalised future of gaming, and sales for XBLA and other console marketplaces will go from strength-to-strength from here....

Microsoft has created a great, viable platform for the digital distribution of quality games, and the success is shown in the fact the Minecraft 360 was profitable within one hour of release! I wonder how this is doing in comparison to Nintendo and Sony's online marketplaces?

What do you, the vgchartz microsoft community (if there is any), think about this?

It depends solely on the game, not the platform it's on. American Nightmare sold only 65k and Fez little over 70k. Trials and Minecraft are simply the games that sell shitload of copies.

I would definitely agree that Microsoft has created the strongest digital front for smaller games. That being said, it's also the games' quality that makes them sell.

A fire extinguiser is the answer.

Digital games don't count. Only retail exclusive, non-Kinect titles.
