Forums - Movies & TV - Who is going to see "The Dictator"? Which countries will ban it (One Country so far)? If you are not offended easily, this was a funny movie!

I'm definitely going to go see it since it looks fantastic. If it's as funny as it looks then it could rival The Avengers.

In what way?

If you laugh during the whole movie then it will be just as good.

If the movie was a chick flick and your cried during the whole movie , then it would be just as good.

So there you have it. Have you see The Avengers?

Yes this is exactly why.

Well Ebert likes it too. I'm pretty sure I'll go see it.

Looks pretty good, Sacha Baron Cohen was interviewed from Cannes by my local Fox station this morning and he confirmed that after he is done shooting Les Miserables he is going to start filming on the Freddie Mercury biopic can't wait for that one hopefully it comes out before 2014 as listed on wikipedia so far.

Tajikistan has banned it, they seem to have a vendetta against Sacha Baron Cohen or something :P

I would not be surprised if the whole Middle East were to ban this. Seems like it will be offensive. I am from America so I will watch it.

It would not shock me either.

I had no clue Sacha Baron Cohen was going to be be in Les Miz.. Is he playing Javert?

I love all of Cohen's stuff, both his scripted and non-scripted stuff. It has been 10 years since his last scripted movie, and I loved Ali G In Da House.

Can't wait to see this, his character doesn't seem as strong as in the other movies but it doesn't matter as long as the jokes are still edgy.

Yes I plan on seeing it next Tuesday. I hated Bruno and Borat was decent. I'm hoping now that this is scripted and actors instead of improv that it will be funnier. Plus being the political person I am I couldn't possibly pass this up. Cant wait to see if Sacha actually does a movie I actually enjoy!

^Yeah my girl friend loves that version. She bought the DVD so she could watch it over and over. We plan on seeing the live Musical when it comes to town in July. Oh and Best Musical Ever!

^That's pretty good. I was afraid it wouldn't do well being up against Avengers and Battleship.
