I finished the 3rd dungeon and havent gone back to it yet twilight princess is better so far.

Agreed.  In my opinion, Twilight Princess is Zelda's finest hour.  Graphics haven't aged as well as I'd hoped (replayed this and Ocarina right before I bought Skyward Sword) but the adventure is still my favorite.  Skyward Sword had some truly great moments but it never reached Twilight Princess heights.

Yes its the zelda I had the most fun with I compared al the other zedas to it and i cant really find one thats as good to me its a near perfect adventure.

Twilight is probably my least favourite of the modern Zelda's (LTTP and beyond, don't think the prior games are comparable). It just felt so bland and generic. Apart from Midna, she was awesome.

Man it did so many cool things i cat see how people sy that, but ehh i dislike a link to the past so i guess i can't talk lol.

"And Skyward Sword... I bought it for my sister, and all I played was the beginning "tutorial" segments, and that was all I could stomach.

Thank god for games like Skyrim... "

oh man.........where are we going.......

I really loved skyward sword,It did a lot of things right
Music
Combact
Story
Dungeons
npc's

Hrm... well I hope you can find that awesomesauce, because it's there alright. To be sure, Skyward Sword is not a perfect game, but I have to admit that I was sucked in the adventure and had a blast the whole time. The dungeons, the characters, the combat... all of it sublime. Definitely a nuanced epic. ^_^

The problem I have with Skyward Sword is that it feels Nintendo only rushed the title to showcase the proper use of Motion Plus on their dying console (which also felt like Nintendo forfeited)
I don’t have a problem with its fundamental mechanics, after all it wouldn’t be Zelda, but its core formula is starting to get repetitive, and frankly, predictable (@OP “keys, key items, etc”).
Its sidequests are also just that, and is not engaging at all.
Its main story also feels like they’re trying to convince the Zelda community like they really do have a fluid master timeline; what they showed us was BS.
Also, the inclusion of Fi is a slap in the every Zelda fans’ face. This goes to show how Nintendo views the Zelda fans. Fi’s useless. Its actual purpose is to show emotional connection between Link (Or the player) and the Master Sword but that obviously failed miserably.

Being that you’re Zelda fan, you’re obviously confusing the Zelda “magic” by extracting the known emotion you already have with the Zelda series. I believe it’s called nostalgia. It’s actually what makes most of Nintendo franchises successful.

It is not too hard to please me, so I am enjoying it. Still have not made it half way though, but I hear that it gets much better. You should just stick it out. I ignore fi.

If they make a wii U directors cut they seriously need to do something about her. But it bothers me little.

they should directors' cut her out of the game.

There is about 98.3% certanty that I feel the same way. ;)  I spent about two weeks that she reminded me every time I turned on the game that my batteries were low. Why would she remind me my batteries are low about 10 hours before they need to be replaced?

At the base level it's a good game, but Nintendo spends too much time trying to cater to everyone. You don't need to tell me every time I boot up the system how much a red rupie is worth. I can see in the HUD how much my rupie count has gone up. I also don't need you to show me how many beatles I have and where they are located on the item menu if I have 30+ of that same bug. :(

I only just beat this game last week. I sat it down last December due to traveling and a tough Spring semester at university. But there are a few things I loved about Skyward Sword:

- The motion controlled swordplay
- The crafting/upgrade system
- The medal system
- The dash meter
- Rupees actually mean something
- Adventure pouch

I think these are things they should keep. It made me feel like I was really upgrading and building my character. I would like more depth the next time around though.

Things I didn't like:
- The incessant handholding (I don't need Fi to spell out obvious information for me and break puzzles with hints I didn't ask for)
- Difficulty set a pushover (seriously, Nintendo - when are you going to let veteran Zelda players get the challenge they deserve?)
- Horrible button layout (why they didn't just use the Twilight Princess layout is beyond me. It's far superior.)
- Not enough areas (The three main areas in the world below were fine but I found the return to them to do trials and collect the parts of the songs were just filler)
- The......slow.........text.......scrolling. (Seriously? Why? How did that get overlooked?)
- The dungeons were too tiny (I kept waiting for a dungeon with multiple floors and tons of rooms but they never appeared. I like big dungeons in Zelda games)
- The music was just okay (Only the Lanayru areas really gripped me with its music. The other areas were good, just not up to the quality of that area. Bring Kondo back as lead composer please)+
- The Gratitude crystal sub-quest was not even a fraction as compelling as the Bomber's Notebook (Aonuma overhyped this part a tad bit)

Overall, great game. But I was expecting a bit more. They improved in some areas but fell off in others, so the net progress is no better than Twilight Princess.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, upon reboot, do I really need to have the game paused for every bug I catch or piece of treasure I score!?  So annoying!

The flying around stuff is what bothered me. It was much worse than Fi.

That being said, I loved the game otherwise.

I hated the game the first time I played it. After the users of this fine site convinced me to try it again I loved it. The art style was fantastic and the music was the best in any Zelda game. The controls tended to go off centre a bit but thats my only complaint. So glad I gave it another chance.

I fixed my old N64 today, and tomorrow I´am gonna start Ocarina of time again
