Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Nintendo Direct - 21/04 - What do you expect?

Well, I've got it loaded up and ready to watch in another window. I will tell what I thought of it once I'm done watching! It looks quite exciting from what I've read from other people's posts. :D

Hopefully we'll get a release date for Project Zero II:Crimson Butterful in Europe too

29/06/12, apparently.

Excellent, thanks for that.  See there was some new PZ2 news with how it unlocks extra content in the 3DS game though.

Just watching the video.  It's funny, where the UK voices seemed appropriate for the sword and socery of Xeno, TLS, Pandora it's just distractingly out of place here.  Oh well.

The Wii version wasn't pushing anything in terms of graphics, aside from a few exceptions. It's really not so much about what I personally think about these graphics, because I can live with them. It's about other people who will stay away, because the game looks cheap to them. NIntendo is wasting sales potential here, that's my main concern with the game feeling rushed.

Although NSMB Wii looked barren at E3 2009 and had more detailed graphics in the final release a few months later, so improvements aren't out of the question.

I agree with you, Rol. The first screenshots of this game actually look quite bad. I don't even know how some people think it matches the Wii one, it doesn't. It seems fuzzier and the colors don't seem as vibrant. The trailer not being there though might just be what US said, making more excitement for a big E3 announcement. I know I'm quite excited for E3 with all of those announcements that we have been getting.

It is just in developement, like you said. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Seems NSMB2 has some Super Mario Bros 3 elements... me likey! I don`t know but i think there are might be some Super Mario World vibe to it.

Is it bad that out of all games shown the one I'm the most interested in is Theatrhythm?

Well, you should be aware of how awful 3DS sales are outside of Japan. I am expecting a worldwide release in August.

But yeah, judging from the screenshots it looks like the game is rushed out of the doors. The graphics aren't particularly detailed. Also, the lack of a trailer only adds to the impression of it being rushed.

It looks like the Wii version. What did you expect? It's a handheld Mario. It looks perfectly fine. They also added Raccoon Mario - shouldn't you cry?

Also, the lack of a trailer only adds to the impression of them having a big e3 reveal for the game...

The way you (and Malstrom) interpret these things is so twisted someone should make a clinical study about it.

OT: I like gold. Really excited for the game and the fact it releases so close to 3D Land can only mean one thing: Iwata knew Miyamoto wouldn't make 3D Mario sell. Poor guy never had a chance

In what aspects doesn't the graphics hold up? To me they look perfectly fine, but then again, graphics means little to me - so I might see what you're seeing. I'm just curious as to what makes the game look rushed..

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

A confirmed date for Rhythm Paradise and re-confirmed date for Project Zero (which we already knew last week).

I'm only missing the Wii U E3 news in ~one month.

The most interesting news: Shibata has a signed drawing from Miyamoto!

Lovers of 2D-Platformers will be thrilled about Power of Illusion and NSMB2. But that's not for me.

Other news there rhythm-games. Also not for me.

So a great Atlus-RPG has to be enough for me. (That's wrong. Sorry, I watched the direct 3 in the morning, as I was back home. Got thing mixed up.)

Did NoE's broadcast feature an Atlus RPG?

I know ghostlight announced a few days ago that they were localising SMT: Devil Survivor Overclock for the 3DS and it's sequel for the DS for Europe, but has their been anything other Atlus RPG related?

All the talking about Etrian Odyssey in this thread made me think they said something about it. No, wrong, nothing, I have to wait longer, I want this game to come to Europe. Sorry, I watched the direct late in the night on the 3DS, as I was back home. Git things mixed up.

But another thing from the NoE-Direct - there will be a cooperation with Panini for Kid Icarus AR-Cards for collecting these things. That should be bring some more fans to the game.
