Still i can think of a few Sony fans that is shitting their pants thinking about the Nextbox having 2 GPU's and one of them being from the 7xxx range, but i wont name no names xD.

I know that if you respond to this post you will go all like "who says I was talking about you" kind of attitude, I don´t care that you made that statement when there was no reason do so, I do care that you labeled me (not just me) a Sony fan. I am nobody's fan, I like gaming that´s it.

As for the rumor, I don´t believe it, for the simple fact that just Kinect 2.0 on every box would be $200 alone, how in the world would they put 2 GPUs in there, a powerful 4-6 core CPU, with bluray player all in one machine. That machine would cost $600 minimum at launch, and with Kinect popularity phenom I see no reason for MS do so.

One thing is for sure, if they go the power hungry route, I am telling you, Sony is toast. They would need a gimmick to sell the PS Orbit (or completely change their software mindset), because the Uncharteds, God of wars and GTs would stop being graphic leaders, meaning they would have to add something to these games to sell as they do now.

In my mind if Sony is left in the middle power wise, they are screwed, for me I want diversity, I don´t want two similar consoles with different gimmicks to choose from.

While I would love for the part about 2 GPU's to be true, I don't believe it is, it would probably be cost inefficient, and certainly not a must for any console in my opinion. Just chuck in one powerful card and a powerful CPU.

As for the "always online needed to play" part of the rumor, I certainly hope that is not true, I'm a huge Xbox fan, but that would probably cause me not to buy the console as I don't have access to the internet 24/7 at home for various reasons.

Early PS3/X360 devkits had two GPUs so maybe these are early devkit specs.

sounds like allot of performance

I will buy 2 Xbox 720 consoles at launch anyway. Yeah, I love my Halo and Xbox Live...

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

kinect 2.0 build in O_O. I hope they just mean included because I don't want to be taping a console on top of my tv and I don't want a wire thats permenatley attached to my console.. As for the constant internet connection rumor ,unless it just needs online connection at game bootup, its a dealbreaker for me, at least while I'm still attending university which has very unreliable internet.

Xbox 720 has been fully detailed to some third-parties, VG247 has learned, and has been slotted in for a Christmas 2013 released. And yes: of course it’ll have a Blu-ray drive.

Xbox 720 will require an always-on internet connection as an anti-piracy measure.

US had only a 60% Broadband penetration rate (as of Dec. 2010).  That means such a device would cut out two-fifths of its potential market.

This does not sound like a good business decision to me.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Now this rumor actually sounds sexxxy and powerful.

That being said sucks for people without highspeed internet if thats true. Still from a tech and power perspective, finally this sounds trully next-gen.

Yeh, I can't believe the always-online rumour, too much potential market lost. If Sony pulled that with the PS4 as well, I would just have to switch to PC gaming only.

EDIT: Oh, and Wii U I suppose!

That would be some console if true and I like. But ..

1) The cost, this system is looking expensive. 2013 could be good economic times or bad. Yes MS has money to burn but if the system is too heavily subsidised that's not good business.

2) On-line only is cutting to much of the market off. As well as... Internet down (happens frequently in my area), I can't play. Reach broadband limit, can't play. Can't pay internet bills, can't play. Can't take it to our holiday house in the sticks because there is no broadband there.
