Oh yeah, saw gravity. I redboxed it and had it at my house for a week. I guess the hype got to me since I wanted to see it for many months but it never came to my dollar show, but when I watched it....meh. It may have been better in the theaters. Was not bad, but nothing great either.
Anyone else not really care about it?

I was pretty average too in my home theater, I got bored after the second hit. Since you redboxed it, watch the extras, better than the movie.

I mean, I can see why people probably loved it in theaters, but no one really gave great performances. I am guessing the visuals wowed everyone in theaters or something. Kaizar will say it was the 3D. After the second hit it became a little too unrealistic, even for a sci fi movie for my taste.

Looks stunning, yet Oblivion, Elysium and Star trek all looked great too. Those movies were all more entertaining to me, not stellar sci-fi, but better movies. Ofcourse Gravity drew a lot of people that wouldn't go see those other movies in theaters. Gravity is a very good amusement park ride, and works well on the big screen with surround sound. However it drags on as an amusement park ride while not offering enough as a movie.

Good Horror movie it's free on Amazon Prime. Intense too.

But for real, saw American Hustle tonight. Gravity was boring, Wolf of walll street entertained me in a different way, and Hustle was brilliant!

In fact...the Academy is idiotic for the gravity votes.

I've been on the fence about American Hustle, doesn't help imdb features it with a 1 star review loathing the movie. April is pretty slim pickings for blu-ray releases, I might get it anyway.

I'm currently watching Hunger games: Catching fire (finished Dark Souls 2!) They just entered the arena, bit of a jarring aspect ratio switch to 16:9, like pressing the zoom button on your remote. 2.35:1 is always better on a big screen. The movie is great so far, awesome costume designs. Tea's ready, excited to watch the rest.

Hunger games: Catching fire: 8/10. Better than the first one. I guess it helps that I haven't read the books, no distraction from comparisons, and the second movie works better without the book.

I have skipped the show. So many good shows these days I have trouble starting any. System overload! But I heard it got really good. Archbrix may watch it.

Hannibal is in constant danger of cancellation, so I can't respect you again until you at least see the entire first season.

Seriously, though, Hannibal is a slow burn. Its buildup paid off by the end of season one, but you may be bored at points (unless you end up liking the disturbing tone and well-written main characters to a high degree). Season 2, however, has been nothing but stellar so far. Probably the best show on television right now (easily the best on network television). Game of Thrones needs to step it up.

You telling me I need to watch it? What about Season 1?

Season 1 is great. Season 2 is nearly perfect.

Watch if you like intense psychological dramas. And have a strong stomach.

The wolf of Wall street, 8.5/10
Great movie. Funny how you still end up sympathizing with a character in a movie who is just wrong on so many levels. So how is the legal prosecution of the more recent subprime mortgage crisis going...
