I think I have seen signs, can't remember much about it though. They're hiding in a farm house for most of the movie right?

Anyway congratz on your score, let us know what hidden gems you find!

the woman in black is one of my favorite horror movies from 2012 starring harry potter.

I also recommend pontypool (2008) it feels new and fresh for a zombie movie.

anyone seen the little girl who lives down the lane ?

tonight wolf of wall street and escape plan.

I was moving around a bunch of dvds last night, making room for more blu-rays, and found some old stuff. Hard to believe this was cutting edge at one point and I paid 65 guilders for it (~$35) Beyond the Mind's eye, 1993

I used to buy these animations on Laserdisc as well. Computer animation festival still exists, although not as a dvd series anymore. I would still pay to see the cutting edge compiled together on blu-ray, or soon 4K! SIGGRAPH 2013

Watch in 1080p, see how much you recognize! How far we have come in 2 decades.

I also discovered a new feature of ps4. Unlike the ps3 it plays (region free) PAL dvds. Upscaled to 1080p50.

nice graphx :))

the wolf of wall street

I never enjoyed a 3 hour movie this much

I watched Dark star today on my old 34" flat screen CRT, using ps2 for a dvd player. That suited that movie perfectly. Originally filmed on 16mm, they didn't make any attempts in cleaning up the picture. With heavy grain, scratches and other visible damage on the print, it felt like being back in a small art house theater in the early 90's.

Dark star is John Carpenter's first full length movie (didn't know that until I checked on IMDB) A low budget comedy about a small crew on a 20 year mission in space, blowing up unstable planets. It's not a great movie, but it has a certain 'can't stop watching' charm. 6/10

I watched Star Trek 3 Search for Spock. I still had it on the dvr from the new years marathon on space. Well it was exactly the same as the first time I saw it, pretty boring. At least the space ship models looked nice in HD.

Also watched Django unchained again, still awesome. I planned to watch half first, other half later of the 3 hour movie, but couldn't stop it halfway.

And we watched The adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle with the kids. A 4 on imdb is pretty harsh, I've seen much worse movies for kids. Fun to see George Costanza again.

I had higher hopes for Walter Mitty, it's a pity.
Great that Her turned out well!

Mitty another good idea not very well executed but still worth watching..Her is heartwarming, depressing and smart.. it took me by surprise i had no idea what it was about.. probably the most original movie of the year.
