Good thing it's just a handheld spinoff then, huh?
|
It is not a spin-off, it is a main series game just like Code Veronica.
|
And Code Veronica only sold a million or so itself. Give Revelations a few months. These handheld titles take a bit of time to show their strength.
|
CV vanilla sold over million on the first console it release on, which died a very early death and even had a second version released on it within a year, CVX which no doubt ate into sales of vanilla, it was ported quickly also, with the port selling near 1.5 million and another port shifting good numbers also.
If you really want to go into it RE series sales were in decline at the time, where as now they are stronger than they have ever been.

This is a silly comparison.
The RE series was alot more popular back then and every installment sold millions in Japan upon release until RE3. Code Veronica was also in the most technological advanced console of the time and all it didnt have was a number attached to it. It was a major release.
RE: Revelations isnt a game nearly as high on the technical spectrum for its age. Its also on a handheld and not a home console.
It performed extremely well in Japan, but for some reason it didnt in the west. I dont see why as its a pretty decent game. The game can still linger up to higher numbers with price cuts.
