I forgot to mention (but just mentioned in a more recent post as well) that I do also have the braking line on which helps a ton. Without the braking line and automatic transmission I don't think I'd win very often. I honestly wasn't trying to make myself sound good or anything in that post.
I was more referring to the manufacturer discounts makin the game easy than the acutal racing aspect being too easy. Because once you get 100% discount to a manufacturer you can take any average car and make it good enough to compete with ferraris.

How is it a bad thing that a new Forza comes out every couple of years, while also keeping the quality at an all time high for racing games? What other racing series has released 4 games all rated 90+ on Metacritic within 8 years? If anything that is a damn good thing to be proud of. I can garentee most gaming company wishes they had a track record like that. Now with Halo, why not release a new Halo? It's one of the most popular gaming franchises ever. I can garentee Sony wished they had a franchise as popular as Halo. And no GT5 is not as popular as the Halo series. Just because it sold more doesn't make it more popular it just means it had a 100+ userbase on the ps2 to fall back on. I'm sure if Xbox had those numbers God knows what Halo: CE and Halo 2 would've sold.
What I see is three 90+ rated franchises and one 80+ you listed. Don't get me wrong variety is good, but quality is much more important, wouldn't you agree? Just to point out the 360 has a pretty good list of exclusives coming out this year, if not more than the ps3. lets see.. Halo 4, Alan Wake: AN, Fable: The Journey, Steel Battalion, Forza Horizon, Crimson Dragon, and there are still some games that are going to be revealed on Monday so you might want to check that out.

This thread answers this post. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=140794&page=1# |
What are you talking about? You didn't answer anything.
If this is Forza mixed with PGR then it will be full of win.
We need more details.
It's just that simple.
So everyone who mentions a game that does not belong into the racing genre or is called Gran Turismo 5 will be banned/moderated from now on.
Can't stand these thread derailments any longer.

Is it sad that when I read this comment, I immediately thought of the Willy Wonka meme. On another note, Playground Studio sounds promising. Bizarre were a great studio and racing is about the only genre that Codemasters have ever seemed to have any success with if I'm remembering correctly. Too bad the link isn't working for me. I'd love to see what this game looks like. |

"The article isn't written by himself. Nothing more that we already know :
Cependant une chose est sûre, contrairement à ce que vous avez pu lire ci et là, il s'agit bel et bien d'un jeu complet, et non d'un titre qui sera distribué sur le Xbox Live Arcade.

A detail is sure, unlike what you can read on web, this is a full retail game, not a XBLA release."
Don't know if anyone already said this:
The lead game designer at Playground Games worked on GTA IV, so this might tell you something about those open world rumors. According to another article "Forza World was a project at playground games" the article was posted in May 2011.

So it is not a cash-in game, but something with a 2 year development cycle from staff responsible for PGR and DiRT / GRID. Add a Turn10 graphic engine and things start to look really great
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
