I'll predict the National League Central standings:

1) Cincinnati- They have good pitching and Joey Votto is a heck of a player.
2) St. Louis- They lost one of the best players in baseball and quite possibly the best manager in baseball. They'll still contend, but that's quite a blow.
3) Milwaukee- Fielder is gone. The Aramis Ramirez pick up will help a little, but he normally doesn't start hitting until the 2nd half. They will put on a fierce push in the 2nd half and come up short.
4) Pittsburgh- Yeah, they've improved, but the end of last year proved that they are still the Pirates.
5) Chicago- The Cubs got even weaker this off season as I said above. There's no hope for the team this year.
6) Houston- The worst team in baseball. 'Nuff said.

These predictions were submitted on February 27th.  This guy must be a genius.

Yes, and train wreck I believe predicted that the amazing nationals would be where they are at.

But you didn't predict exactly how an entire division would go.  Look at what I said about the Brewers.  Spot on.

I wish that I was this good at predicting football.  :p

The White Sox need an all out rebuild, similar to what my Cubbies are doing. Actually they needed one before this season started. Sure, they may have have held on to a slim AL central lead for a good part of the year, but that's mainly because the AL central is by far the weakest division in baseball and Detroit was underachieving for the good part of the year. Their pitching is in good shape, and they managed to get great performances out of a lot of young pitchers from their farm, but if we're talking position players, they're just too old and slow on that front, and then people wonder why they struggle to score runs.

In other news, the Cubs continue their quest to avoid the futility of  an 100 loss season! Whoopie... Just gotta sweep the lowly Astros at home now to not reach that shameful number, can they do it?? Stay tuned! Thank god for Rizzo, Samardzija, and to a lesser extent, Castro, as they've been the only entertaining aspects of Cubs baseball this year..

I am now officially on the verge of thinking that the A's might possibly maybe make the playoffs.

You are officially on the verge of being out of your mind.

They just don't have the horses to do it.

Through the magic of internet post editing, I can now tell you that I never once harbored any doubts, Mr. I Know The NL Central.

Can we change this to run differential?

Hopefully the Cards stop underachieving come playoff time.

I only have enough time to know about one division.  That DH stuff in the AL really throws me off.

So I've decided to take tomorrow off to go to the game. It'll be my first time seeing the Coliseum full.

Correction: it might be my first time seeing the Coliseum full.

Well it seems that Everyone is happy but AMP. Although he can be happy they did not end up in last place all around. I am only happy because of the Nationals and that the Angels (bleh) did not make it.

I'm not that disappointed.  The Cubs didn't do much worse than I expected.  Losing 100 games is epically lousy though.
