No no, that's wrong. The 4th week vita sales will be way more important than the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. |
I say the Holiday and Summer sales will be the most important for the VITA.

Yea I know its not samus. Just seeing it made me instantly think of Samus. I'm sure majority of gamers also associate that type of suit and COLOR with samus than with Wipeout. Thus feels like Sony is kind of doing a typical rip-off advertising. You know how like a commercial has a product look like its rival yet not say its name. Like how all the miller lite commercials have someone drinking a "girly beer" that looks exactly like a bud lite bottle. I hate when companies bash others or seemingly copy others. And to me this suit just screams samus, regardless of whats its advertising. Would it have killed them to have the suit be red or any other color than that teal or turquoise whatever it is. |
You see a smoking-hot ass and all you can think of is how Sony copies Nintendo? Really?

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles
Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

No i see a smoking hot ass in turquoise spandex and think of Samus.
Just like if I see a blue adn silver beer bottle I think of Bud Light.
Thus I'm questioning why Sony would chose a clearly recognizable outfit to have this lady wear. Why not make it as I said ANY other color.
The thing is Miller WANTS you thinking of bud light by having a blue/silver can in their commercials cause they are dissing it. What I'm wondering is, Why would sony have someone wear and outfit that makes me think of Nintendo? This isn't abotu copying, its about marketing. You don't want people thinking of your competitors at your launch.

I think a few of the students at my school are going to get it right now o.o. |
You posted! XD Well... most of the kids at my school seem to be Sony fans so it is kind of surprising.

While you are right in the center of one of Sony's main demographics, the problem is that people of your age usually don't have the money for such a pricey handheld and Christmas is ten months away. So yeah, nobody is talking about it, because nobody can brag about owning one. |
Yea kids talking or not talking about a new system this time of year means very little. Kids can't afford to buy new systems. They need to ask their parents.
So is a parent going to be wanting to spend their tax refund on a new system for thier kid? or what if they owe money in taxes.

Ah, well I just got some money from my birthday, but I'm gonna save up a bit or wait for a bit before buying a PSVita, there's a few games I want to buy on the PS3 before going on to buying a new system *-*. |
Get the 3DS! We must be friends. XD

Understandeable. You have to know though that kids at my school have stayed home just to play Modern Warfare 3 when it launched here... I know it's just a game but you would think that the extreme Sony fans at my school would at least chatter a little bit about it. I mean, I've heard and seen absolutley nothing about it.

Also those pictures above actually come from the oxford street (London) Game main store midnight launch and according to Eurogamer who covered it there was about 100 customers total. So the image some of you trying to portray of it flying off the shelves or queues etc doesn't seem right. Well at least not here in London which is the most populated city in Europe. But we will see soon enough as Track normally announce how well something like this sold in around 48hrs. 3Ds launched at 140k in UK so will be interesting to see how Vita has done in comparison to that. |
I think Moscow wouldn't agree with you there
Just why do people excpect this do do 500k+ numbers? We are in THE LOWEST SELLING point of year (january-april) which is right after hoiday season. The bigest (and IMO probably the only) mistake that Sony made with Vita is launchig it RIGHT AFTER holiday season. Its the worst possible tim to release new hardware
