Forums - Sales - So Vita just launched

Got mine in HMV at 12pm and was told I was the 8th person to buy it today instore.

Also those pictures above actually come from the oxford street (London) Game main store midnight launch and according to Eurogamer who covered it there was about 100 customers total.

So the image some of you trying to portray of it flying off the shelves or queues etc doesn't seem right. Well at least not here in London which is the most populated city in Europe. But we will see soon enough as Track normally announce how well something like this sold in around 48hrs. 3Ds launched at 140k in UK so will be interesting to see how Vita has done in comparison to that.

I heard it BOMBED so hard that the United States Department of Homeland Security filled it as a high-level terrorist threat.

I saw long lines in pictures posted on Gaf and also this:

Is Samus becoming a race car driver or whats with her suit

This is either a Wipeout dev or a Wipeout QA person. I like the suit

Yea I know its not samus.  Just seeing it made me instantly think of Samus.   I'm sure majority of gamers also associate that type of suit and COLOR with samus than with Wipeout.  Thus feels like Sony is kind of doing a typical rip-off advertising.  You know how like a commercial has a product look like its rival yet not say its name.  Like how all the miller lite commercials have someone drinking a "girly beer" that looks exactly like a bud lite bottle.

I hate when companies bash others or seemingly copy others.  And to me this suit just screams samus, regardless of whats its advertising.

Would it have killed them to have the suit be red or any other color than that teal or turquoise whatever it is.

You have just got to be kidding me here.

meh the 2nd week vita sales will be way more important then the 1st

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

LOL! Perfect Jay. XD

OT: I heard no fuss or any talk about it at school. That isn't a very good sign.

No one I know has a Vita yet, and one person I know plans on buying it (When it hits €100,-). That's not a good sign at all.

Meh, both overrated. I say 3rd week vita sales will be way more important than the 1st and 2nd.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

hmmm.. now that you mention it.. no one in the office got one today.. this coming from a company with lots of designers and tech geeks... I mean some of us imported iPads iPhone before the official dutch launch, devices that didn't even launch here (zune, kindle), some have really obscure and strange Japanese tech devices (ear wax viewer & cleaner),day 1 3DS just to check out the 3D effect and a lot more.. maybe tomorrow otherwise I'm gonna ask the boss to give me funds to get a few..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

No no, that's wrong. The 4th week vita sales will be way more important than the 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
