GAME has confirmed it will not stock Ubisoft's Vita launch games.

Lumines, Michael Jackson, Rayman Origins, Asphalt Injection and Dungeon Hunter Alliance will not be available to buy from GAME stores across the nation when Sony's PSP successor launches at midnight tonight.

"All customers affected by this decision have been made aware of the situation and we will continue to communicate any updates to customers through our Twitter and Facebook feeds," GAME said in a statement issued to VG247.

Vita launch titles from other publishers, including EA, Capcom and Sega, are safe, however, and will be sold in GAME stores.

News of the cancellation of Ubisoft's Vita launch titles only adds to the current troubles afflicting the specialist retailer.

Last week Eurogamer broke the news that GAME would not stock Nintendo 3DS game Tekken 3D Prime Edition.

GAME is currently working with publishers on a title-by-title basis following its loss of credit insurance with the banks last month.

Bad news for both GAME and ubisoft. They should have at least stocked them for the opening week to test the demand for them. Oh, and I didn't even know the vita was launching tonight! Must be exciting to be a UK Sony fanboy right now.

Don't blame Ubisoft on this one, same happened with Tekken 3DS and MGS HD collections I believe.

well mine isnt ready til tommorow cause no gamestop in my area has midnight launch not worried though cause mine is preordered.

but that does suck asphalt not avalialbe in that store thats not going to go well at all for sony or ubisoft or its customers .

Bummer. Lumines and Rayman are supposed to be the best launch titles.

Its the only highstreet Nationwide Specialist Video Game retailer left in the UK, besides Gamestation, but thats the same company. 

I'm imagining that was a business call because a majority of those games are on other platforms for a significantly cheaper price. So they probably felt it would be a waste of money to sell them at the regular price.

Just bloody brilliant! Rayman was one of the games I'd pre-ordered from GAME. Awh well, maybe buy it off PSN now. I believe it's a fiver cheaper on there.
