The company just went public. Trust me, they're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Not that I would be averse to them going under, mind you. Getting sick of it popping up in every single conversation I ever have with ANYBODY.

That's what getting me thinking about Facebook and his future.  I'm a stockmarket investor since 15 years now (a hobby, not my job) and I will not put my money on that.  It's just a feeling, but I feel the buzz is fading.  The poll is a nice 50-50 so far.

Facebook is continuing to have incredible growth, so I'd say no.

Its only a matter of time until it becomes intelligent and starts having human emotions. We're all doomed.

Since Facebook is currently growing and expanding to new markets the people voting yes know something I don't because a company can't be considered dying unless its empire is shrinking.

Maybe they expect it to keep growing at a rapid pace and suddenly overload the servers creating a black hole and destroying itself instantly.

Seriously, the only people voting yes simply want Facebook to fall for some asinine reason and can't possibly think it's dying. It's the opposite of dying.

Meh, it isn't that Facebook is dying at all, but rather that it will have to share the market with the rapidly growing google+ that is being integrated with android and YouTube, google maps, etc. Microsoft is also joining the social media market and from what I remember, their product will mixsearch with a more traditional concept of social media. Seriously, Facebook isn't big enough to win this fight, it's going to be third place within 3 years.

no it is not dying but the problem with facebook is that it has not changed really since it launched. twitter is awesome though

I can only say that I haven't been added by an "old" school friend in months. So either all of them have a Facebook account by now (which I know is not true) or they simply don't want to be part of that community. However I'm also not recording many people who delete their accounts, so from my experience, Facebook lies flat

hardly, me and my friends use facebook all the time. almost everyone i know is on fb. my parents and their friends are on fb.
almost noone uses messenger anymore, they just talk through fb chat.

edit: this will be the next big thing, might steal some people away from fb. https://www.tumblr.com/

I don't know, but I don't have an account so to me it doesn't exist.

@pezus- google+ has the following advantages going for it when compared to Facebook, and the difference is glaring, I'm afraid

-google has waaaaaaayyyyy more capital, so they have a lot more options to do things when they want to
- google+ has android integration or will soon, so after one click on the smartphone screen, users are directed to google's social media
- google+ integrates with YouTube and google music and google maps
-google has recently started its "search plus your world" campaign which directs users to google plus, so google is leveraging its search strong point

Facebook advantages
-games. (well msft and goog can buy help here if they want it believe me)
